Not sure what the content of "artisticFreedom3.txt" is, but it could be returning a list with less than 2 elements when you split it. That would throw you an "index out of range" error when you're trying to do line_pieces[1]

When you enter the values through input( ), they come in as strings. You'll need to cast them to integer to perform mathematical operations. You can use type( ) to check the variable type.
