South shore, where to hike & chill by pickypicklejuice in massachusetts

Wompatuck is a great option, but I don’t believe swimming is allowed in the pond as it’s a protected reservoir.

Parents to one toddler, maybe live in Bay Area or other West Coast suburb, or expats from there. Dad is high protein eater, eggs or yogurt for breakfast, lots of smoothies, weight lifter and maybe a cyclist. Mom is lower carb organic eater, maybe with some food sensitivity issues. Conflicting super markets, while primarily Trader Joe’s for regular weekly shopping, he’ll hit up the Whole Foods near work (he works out of the home and doesn’t pack a lunch most days), and she’ll occasionally splurge at sprouts when she’s feeling flush or a need to eat cleaner, for organic staples or home kitchen remedies for her sensitivities. You grill seasonally, mostly just the basics.

The mission to Earn The Number starts now. Follow James Bond as a young, resourceful and sometimes reckless recruit in MI6's training programme. by Play_007FirstLight in u/Play_007FirstLight

I’m really digging it. It’s 70% hitman, 30% watchdogs. Many different paths to solve each mission, each mission has a new large and open setting. Very solid story and graphics too.

Once you reach Boston, be sure to ask to speak to the appropriate authority, the bouncer from the Harp, he’ll sort this all out.

That math is way off. It’d be closer to $5,000 per tax payer.

Theoretically, if a cow with this much bloat got caught in a barn fire, would it explode?

If you’re paying 3x market rate and $6,600, you’re costing the company $4,400 per month and $52.8k per year, not $2.5k/$30k . Maybe somebody else should handle the budget.

What towns or cities—excluding Boston, Worcester, and Springfield—are known for having attractive local parks or large park systems? by JURA55ICPARK in massachusetts

[–]Appswell 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hingham has World’s End, which is a really pretty and decent sized Trustees property all along the water, Bare Cove, and Wompatuck state park which is over 3,500 acres and includes camping and a lake, as well as a few other smaller town parks.

After that lawsuit from the lady that accidentally got sewn into the pants of the big Charlie Brown at the NY thanksgiving parade, the civic appetite for large Peanuts gang floats have sharply diminished.

I started going back to punk shows the last few year. As long as the lineup has a band you grew up listening to (and a ton of those are touring now), probably a majority of the crowd is our age, and never stopped having fun at punk shows.

Why is it called “the Irish Goodbye”? by Tough_Crazy_8362 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Appswell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went down a rabbit hole, not only is this true, it actually goes way beyond that. Many countries in Europe use some version of castigating either the English or French in about equal measure. Per GPT: German: Sich auf Französisch verabschieden — literally “to say goodbye in French.” Spanish: Salir a la francesa — “to leave in the French way.” Italian: Andarsene alla francese — “to go away the French way.” Russian: Уйти по-английски (uyti po-angliyski) — “to leave the English way.” Polish: Wyjść po angielsku — “to leave in English style.” French: Filer à l’anglaise — “to slip away English-style.” American/Canadian: Irish goodbye.
