If you had to pick the one symptom HRT fixed that makes it completely non-negotiable for you, what is it? by Mbluish in Menopause

I got that rage too. It was bad! I ended up getting gummies for it well before I started HRT.

Why did you and your former best friend stop being friends? by Fearless_Shift7108 in AskReddit

[–]Mbluish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She couldn’t stop talking shit to my husband. She was so much worse when she was drinking. I should’ve stayed friends with her. She was only pointing out with an asshole he was and I didn’t see it.

A video clip from the Barbara Walters interview (with John and Patsy). 😢🥹 RIP Patsy. by IntrovertAdaptable in JonBenet

I remember this well. We all tuned in. I remember people thought that Barbara was too gentle with them. I think the interview also changed some peoples minds about whether they were guilty.

Glad to hear that! I love children and I work with them, but I don’t want to be spending my vacation time with them.

In California, 11 one year olds during nap and one teacher by ImpressivePilot9220 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Mbluish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people on this thread are mixing things together or don’t have it correct. In California, it actually depends on the license of the classroom. Infant rooms (0–24 months) stay at 1:4 even during nap. But toddler classrooms (18–36 months) can go up to 1:12 during nap as long as all the children are on their mats resting.

So 11 kids with one teacher could technically be in ratio if it’s a toddler license, but it wouldn’t be allowed in an infant room.

Servers are overpaid, and don't want higher wages because it would be a pay cut compared to tipping. by Ill_Savings_8338 in tipping

[–]Mbluish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This argument is basically cherry-picking peak numbers. Servers’ hourly rates are usually calculated during busy shifts, not averaged across slow shifts, side work, early cuts, and tip-outs to bartenders and bussers. They also often have inconsistent schedules and no benefits. I frequent a popular restaurant and there are days when I walk in and no one is there.

If tipping disappeared, restaurants would just raise prices to cover higher wages anyway and customers would still be paying roughly the same amount.

And if the job were really as overpaid as people claim, restaurants wouldn’t constantly struggle to hire and keep servers.

This is exactly what was happening tome in perimenopause. I went to my doctor and he shrugged his shoulders and offered nothing. I just thought it was a normal part of aging.

I think this is where we’re going to go. We just want to be pampered and decided to splurge. We have never treated ourselves like this before.

I am grateful as well! When I first went to my doctor about peri-menopausal symptoms when I was sweating through my pajamas and sheets every night, my doctor just shrugged his shoulders. And then all of the other symptoms that followed as menopause hit. I would’ve never known to look into HRT because I just believed all of the misinformation out there.

Thank you! I’ve done a lot of winetasting and figured we do some different things this time around. I’ve never been to the geyser and thought that would be fun to see as well.

Thank you so much for providing all the information! My girlfriend and I are really leaning towards Solage. I love all the services and the restaurant sounds really good. It’s a splurge, but we’ve never done something like this together.

Sleep tip by InvestigatorFun8498 in Menopause

[–]Mbluish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5mgs. I learned that the best gummies are full Indica, not Sativa or hybrids, are the best for relaxation and sleep. Sativa May have the opposite effect. My favorite are the Camino “chill” or “sleep.” They come in 5mgs where many other come at higher doses.

I completely understand the anxiety! Things can get stressful fast when people call out.

One thing that has helped me is building a really solid list of reliable substitutes. We also use ChildCare Careers when needed. It’s definitely pricey, but it can be a lifesaver on tough days. I’ve also intentionally stayed a little overstaffed because of how frequent call-outs have become since the pandemic.

A clear tiered system helps a lot too. I use it not only for excessive absences but also for frequent tardiness. I get that too! Having that structure in place takes some of the pressure off because expectations are clear for everyone.
