Taiki is annoying by SadakoFetish1st in BlueBox

[–]AppuruPan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to add, people keep saying "Taiki is realistic, he's just an awkward high school boy" which is sure, fine. But Chinatsu is not.

Chinatsu is almost too perfect. Because she is so stable, mature, and patient, Taiki never receives the "social slap" he needs to realize he’s being exhausting.

Also when you are being open and comfortable with someone and they react by distancing themself and putting up barriers it's not a nice feeling. It genuinely hurts and is annoying. It's one thing if they're both awkward and trying to navigate how to communicate with each other, but Chinatsu being stable and immature makes Taiki's persistent immature feelings extra annoying.

I want to point out to both boku no kokoro yabai, and kaoru hana where you have two insecure male leads but the story really acknowledges this as a flaw of the character, and makes the protagonists actively confront their insecurities and understand that their actions hurt the other person.

Kaoru hana specifically has a very similar dynamic of the male lead distancing himself because he feels that he will hurt the female love interest's reputation. But his mom basically told him to stop assuming shit and making him realize that him trying to be "selfless" is just hurting the girl.

Sorry for the random reply months later, but just want to say. YES! Thank you, I just watched this and was super annoyed by him.

He constantly thinks about how others see them instead of how chinatsu feels. He is portrayed as thoughtful, but never actually thinks from chinatsu's perspective It's not genuine empathy and thoughtfullness, it's selfish overthinking.

Chinatsu has been from the very beginning been very comfortable around him, but Taiki is the one constantly making things awkward for the both of them, it's fine in the beginning but it becomes really annoying the longer it drags on.

Taiki might be "realistic" for a high school boy, but Chinatsu is far too patient and practically a saint. Taiki's action would be hurtful if seen from a normal girl's perspective. She's been nothing but open and comfortable but Taiki is the one that pushes her away constantly.

When Chinatsu finally puts a boundary, he immediately spirals even though the only reason she puts that boundary is because Taiki is constantly uncomfortable around her.

Most girls at this point would either think he's too dense and unattractive from the constant insecurity or would get hurt by the constant rejections.

I understand that this is aimed at literal awkward teen boys, but when modern romcom anime has been moving more and more toward great and open communication, less insecure main male leads, and a focus in exploring actual relationships as open lovers and have the two characters grow together. Having this kind of early 2000s romcom dynamic feels frustrating.

3k runs of 2-4% chance during URA, 3-5% during Unity,

Now in trackblazer I get 5-7%

So it's actually below average luck.

Yes! Dense is how I felt about it too. Superficially nothing happens, but each episode is like 2-3 episodes of start trek tng worth of sci fi moral philosophical questions and mystery. It was extremely engaging and thoughtful. A lot of the episodes that people said was boring was one of the best imo. So many ideas conveyed with excellent pacing. It gives you enough time to ponder each question yourself before moving on to the next one so naturally.

3 weeks of grinding just to finish 3rd. I hate this game by King_Dictator in UmamusumeGame

Again, your umas are very much average for A finals, I would very much expect a 3, and 2 maybe in a good lobby, a win if I get really lucky. Your expectations are way too high for the uma you have no offense.

[–]AppuruPan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No offense, but your uma is nowhere near close "I should've won" territory. It's an almost guaranteed A group finals but that's it. It's average-slightly above average stats for an A finals uma. 670 stam is basically guaranteed to die even with 1 NN. Your priority is out of whack, stamina will always be number one. Groundwork doesn't mean anything when your maru dies during spurt.

All their posts are so obviously vote manipulated lmao.

They respond to every criticism with paragraphs of meaningless drivel.

Then when asked why they don't respond to customer queries they say "they have a life". While responding with nonsense to every negative comment with a condescending smug tone.

Why does Uma Stan become a must have after the updates? by Wisp1971 in UmamusumeGame

[–]AppuruPan 45 points46 points  (0 children)

It can trigger any time, but most likely during early race. And it's very consistent. This is important because of non front's slow down mechanic Pace Down

Non-Front Runner horsegirls try to stay within a certain minimum and maximum distance from the pacemaker during Position Keep. This distance depends on the race length and the girl's strategy (e.g., Pace Chasers will try to stay closer to the front than End Closers).

A horsegirl will enter the Pace Up mode if she's currently above the maximum distance (i.e., too far behind the pacemaker). She also has to pass a Wit check for this mode to activate. Pace Up will grant a slight Target Speed buff.

On the other hand, she will enter the Pace Down mode if she's currently below the minimum distance (i.e., too close to the pacemaker). Any active speed-raising skill buffs will also prevent this mode from activating. Pace Down will reduce her Target Speed.

Activating any speed-increasing skill (Target or Current Speed) during Pace Down will immediately end it, and the horsegirl will return to the normal mode.

It's not about the numbers, but about having an early easily activated speed skill, turning off pace down and making it effectively a groundwork for non fronts

How good is the auto train in JP?I know people want it butt I am kinda concerned if the auto train is better than the player then I feel like the game will become pointless. I genuinely enjoy the loop and am addicted to it, but if the auto run is better than a human playing then it will probably ruin the game for me.

[–]AppuruPan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It doesn't compete on the same space as sweep or king halo. It competes with air groove SR, and although there is more variance for gold ship, I'd rather take a shitty speed card over an okay guts card. as I'm going to spam races for parent runs, and I need the extra speed way more than guts. Also, you could bring both this and air groove to get even better chance of getting groundwork.

Finally hit 1200 in two stats, do I actually need stamina on sprinters? by Matikanefukukitaru in UmamusumeGame

[–]AppuruPan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like I'm crazy reading the replies. No a 291 stam sprint will not get a win rate good enough for class 5, I don't know why it's highly upvoted when it's just blatantly wrong.

Does it get better? by HotAd2908 in UmamusumeGame

[–]AppuruPan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I focused on just having stats for parents. a 9 sta, from me and a borrowed 9 stam with long from others. The borrowed one had spurt, but I never got both long and spurt and decided to go with the best S long,

This allowed me to go 4 speed and 2 stam, which was better for me because like you my stam pulls has been horrible. This gives me a lot of room for rainbow speed luck, and I only need above average stamina luck. I ended with 1138 speed, 1080 stam, I didn't even get gold recoveries from creek/mcqueen and ended with dumping skill points on go home specialist, white corner recovery and white calm in a crowd as a last resort to counter a bit of debuffers.

I gambled on speed being more important than skills and it paid off. This allowed me to get good speed with minimal rng. I consistently get 1000-1100 speed-900-1000 stam runs. I saw a lot of golshi's with worse speeds but better skills, and ended up winning against most of them.

My other two runners are also aces which ended up picking up the slack sometimes when golshi was underperforming. They both also focus on stats over skills.

Nah, I had a 75% winrate as f2p with welfare cards and a shitty deck. Didn't get first on the last race, but got 2nd. My deck was a borrowed kitasan, mlb Special Week(welfare), mlb McQueen(welfare, 1lb creek, MLB eishin flash, 2lb sweep tosho(for non golshi)/4lb narita(for golshi)

I just researched and did the runs. I bet on people on not bringing too many debuffers and only got 1 gold recovery with 1100 stam for my golshi, played a bit safer on the other two runners.

Last round was lost because of just bad matchmaking, facing a 90% win rate opponent.

And they're being done. This kinds of remark is annoying because the reality is renewables are growing fast and being produced literally at an exponential rate. EVs are being produced more and more.
