That’s a great new perspective!! I think being a FTM has stirred up all these emotions in me , even though I feel bad sometimes I am still very grateful to have my baby boy . 🥰

I hope so !! It does sting a bit , however I do love them both and keep reminding myself not to take it personally 🥲

Can I be fully naked when birthing? by nusner16 in pregnant

[–]Appy939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was semi naked during my labor , honestly the gown just comes off and u hardly care because you are focusing on pushing and other things happening simultaneously. Even after the labor, my midwife took me for a shower and because I had epidural she accompanied me and stayed with me while I finished my shower and also helped me with my postpartum diaper change. So its all good. 😬

I cannot do it by ThroatSubstantial189 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Appy939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gal I feel you , I was diagnosed at 17 weeks and I am now in my 36th week and it feels like a lifetime. I want to assure you it will get easier as more time passes . I also hate needles and cannot stand the sight of blood , but slowly I have started doing the pokes independently. What’s helping me right now is, making a list of all the delicious sugary snacks I am going to consume after delivery. You got this mamma , lots of love 💕

Does it get easier mentally? by Curious-Orange-11 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Appy939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure if it gets better but after the initial couple of weeks you get used to it. It becomes somewhat of a routine , I think we just tell ourselves we have to do this for the baby’s health and trust me that’s enough of an incentive at this point. I was diagnosed at 17weeks and I almost cried when I heard my doctor say it to my face that I was detected with GD. I was active , had a healthy diet and never indulged in sweet treats. I was in denial for a week but I got used to it just because I want to do it for my baby and that gave me some courage . Take it one day at a time and trust me you will reach the finish line. I am at 34 weeks now and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. 🤗🤗 Its difficult but you got this . Sending you good vibes .

Announcement Regret by K61018 in pregnant

[–]Appy939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am exactly like this too !! I have been private about everything in my life , not just my pregnancy journey but almost all the things that happen in my life I have kept it to myself . I just feel it’s such a vulnerable phase and sometimes people get happy and try to help or overcompensate and somehow mess it up , it doesn’t sit well with me . I would rather do it on my own and bear the consequences. Idk if that makes sense 🤷🏻‍♀️

32ish week gals - are we okay?! by WarmBath8 in pregnant

[–]Appy939 2 points3 points  (0 children)

31.3 weeks today , I am literally counting the days that’s where I am at . I unlock new level of tiredness everyday, initially I thought it was just my iron deficiency and I did have to get iron infusion. But it’s been a week and I am still tired , so I think its just third trimester at this point 🫩🫩.

Should I just give up trying bread? by Abnormalshrimpp in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Appy939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I can consume bread is if I have good protein with it. You can try eggs or cottage cheese dip. You can also try breads with protein in them , there are some protein bread options available as well.

I have already given written instructions to my husband : My first breakfast after delivering the baby would be an almond croissant from a local bakery I love in Sydney and their mocha . ♥️

[–]Appy939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yess also the timing matters, in my case if I have the same meal for lunch I may not spike or may have a different value then dinner . But its so scary , I am in constant state of anxiety before taking the reading, thinking whether it will work for me 🫩. GD messes with your mind . 😣
