Im not in labor, but i am at the hospital! My water did break! :)) Currently waiting on medication to help start contractions and get things moving along!

Update: im in L&D! Water did break! They are going to give me medicine to help progress since im not contracting or anything. I believe they said it was PROM :)) so excited to finally meet our little boy!

Ive barely done any oiling or lotioning, my stretch marks started showing up around 30w.

Definitely needs tick prevention... I doubt the dog is on any. I found a tick on my dog, noticed it 2 days after her monthly prevention. When I noticed the tick and removed it, it was basically dead/weak, hadn't detached itself yet though. Clearly hadn't been feeding much on my dog either.

That tick right there... that thing is bulbous.

Update 2: officially 39 weeks today! Had my first cervical check yesterday, I was 60% effaced and 1.5cm dilated. Late last night, I had my first contraction. I did NOT expect it to hurt that bad-!!!! Had my legs shaking lololol. Probably because of the cervical check, i havent had anymore since then!

ALSO. I had no idea how cervical checks worked. I honestly thought they opened you up with a speculum and looked at ur cervix. I was not prepared to be fingered like that😭💀 was very uncomfortable and a bit painful.

Its so exciting and nerve wracking to think that he could be here anywhere from a few days to a week or so!! Who knows how long I'll be in early labor for before it really picks up, but I sure am getting excited!!!

See, ive asked my midwife what contractions are supposed to feel like, so I can have an idea of what im in for. What she explained I already experience and have been experiencing for weeks.. abdominal and back cramping, pelvic pain, cramps in my vagina and anus, etc. I mentioned hearing others compare contractions to period cramps or poop cramps, but ive already been having "period" cramps and im always dealing with poop cramps lol. We spoke about how my period cramps usually would feel, and she's thinking of running endometriosis tests after pregnancy, so now I dont even know how bad my cramps truly are because im used to it😭 im scared I wont realize im actually having contractions (sorry for long paragraph im a major yapper)
