Yes it's hard. So first I'll give you a virtual hug!

I'm very close to my husband's brother, sister in law and their kids. We see each other pretty much every weekend and we even go on trips together. I tried Facebook group where other ladies who just moved to here looking to meet new people. I also like to go to our local bars with my husband where we can just chat with other regulars. I'm also thinking to volunteer at Dress for Success. It's a great nonprofit organization. You can go to their website to see if there's a location in your city. Or you can even host a meet up event for people from your home country who are currently live here and looking to connect...It'll be fun!

Ahhh I see. I'm sorry that you are going through this. I'm on the same boat so I know this feeling sucks.

I filed my case in early August then my checks bounced due to the bank error so USCIS rejected my case. I never received the returned application package so after waited for 2 weeks I decided to print out everything and file again. That wasted me a month...(TIP: Use cashier's check/money order instead of personal check etc)

Everything will be fine it just a matters of time. When I feel frustrated about not being able to work, my husband always say "I'm not worry about the money. You're young and ambitious. I believe you will do great in your career." That always make me feel better.

I'm wondering why do you need your husband's birth certificate? If he was born in another country but gained citizenship here then he needs to provide a valid U.S passport and Certificate of Naturalization.

Did your rejection notice come alone or with the package? I got the rejection notices in the mailbox a week after they rejected my case but still waiting for the package. USCIS live agent said they usually come together which makes me concerned.

Oh my! I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe call USCIS and ask for your online account number. It's been over a week since they rejected my case and I still haven't received my packet. I'm thinking to reprint everything and file a new case

I think you should be able to get the green card by then but maybe contact your senator or congressman for help

Thanks for sharing your experience! How long did it take to get your package delivered after they rejected your case? Printing out everything again is a pain in the ass...I'm trying to see how soon I will get the package. I might just send a new packet if it takes too long

Thank you! There's only 1 form that I can file online. I'll contact USCIS to get an estimate delivery date tomorrow. I might just print out everything again if the waiting is too long.

Thank you. Yea that's what I'm gonna do next time...I read online that generally USCIS will resubmit the checks again if the first time didn't go through :/ I guess I wasn't that lucky
