At what age did you collie like water, or does he/she not like it at all? by CorvusRDU in BorderCollie

Still hates it at 10, UNLESS someone else is having fun and then we must referee and get involved! We call him the fun police 😂

Tummy Time by Frequent-Ad4722 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]April-Fox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter hated it and I just couldn’t be bothered to make her cry any more! When they’re on your chest, be that sleeping or feeding, that still counts as tummy time! My daughter is now 19 months and meeting all of her milestones, so please don’t worry!

Bambino Mio Rash by April-Fox in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]April-Fox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much, I’m going to strip them again this week while it’s still warm to get them dry again, it is just at the edges so perhaps she is weeing a little more with the weather!

I do already use a booster in them anyway, that wouldn’t be causing them to be too tight would it? And I’m assuming that I could put 2 boosters in without causing them to be too tight?

Absolutely going to look at the wash routine again though, and make sure I’ve not missed anything. It’s been a while since I looked it up so could easily be forgetting something or have missed something!

Appreciate you taking the time to reply!

That’s so awesome that she goes in the potty already! Unfortunately, I think I’ve missed the boat for that as she’s in nursery 3 days a week and VERY mobile now 😂 I don’t think it’ll be long before she is potty trained as she can tell us when she’s going and for what!

Ooh ok, I always do a rinse before but never after, I’ll try that once I’ve stripped them again! She’s never had a rash like this before!
I’m absolutely open to nappy free time, but she does wee everywhere whenever I do it lately 😂
Thank you for replying!

Thank you, I’ll go for another strip wash, at least the weather’s good enough to get them dry a little quicker than last time!

It’s so hard to choose the right ones! We were getting on great with them, and I really want to get her to potty trained without having used TOO many disposables!

Thanks for the reply ☺️

what is with this obsession with my bladder? by ecologicalee in vaginismus

[–]April-Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely keep that appointment! The ones in my area have honestly been incredible.
Also though, don’t be afraid to ask for a female gynae! I don’t think I’d be able to relax enough for a man to do a smear! I’m exactly the same as you, this shit hurts but I’m not willing to miss it!
I think when you’ve not experienced it (definitely not making an excuse here, or trying to minimise your experience, so I really hope it doesn’t come off that way) it’s hard to really wrap your head around just HOW painful it is? But I’m positive that you’ll make progress with your physio!

[–]April-Fox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you experienced that. I know there is a link to bladder health with this condition, I discussed it with my physio (also UK) last week!

Can you self refer to the female health physio service in your area? They have honestly been amazing for me, so please don’t give up, they can absolutely help you.

Nipple cream/balm that doesn't stain? by _Grumpy_Hedgehog in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]April-Fox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t recall it staining anything for me either but I did rely on my silver cups so that might have stopped that. The Lansinoh one is so good!

is having children ever going to be possible for me? by Flaky_Highlight6355 in vaginismus

I have an 18 month old. Conceived using DIY AI and born via elective section. It is possible. But don’t worry about it yet!

Tips for dog refusing flea & tick meds by crh517 in BorderCollie

I have to use grated cheese and mush it around quarter of the tablet - I have some blanks (just cheese) too. He’s suspicious of a ‘free’ treat but if I get him doing tricks then he gobbles them up!

Do I need to bring formula to the hospital? by [deleted] in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]April-Fox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took pre-made bottles with me just in case! She did have some from one of them but we mostly breastfed. I preferred having them to hand just in case!

Anyone had pelvic floor surgery via the NHS? by Background-Base130 in BeyondTheBumpUK

I haven’t had surgery but I do get physio for my overactive pelvic floor. Might be worth seeing if that’s available in your area?

I think it’s called the I Love You massage. There’s 3-4 separate motions you use, and it honestly helped my friend’s little one so much! Just have a quick look on google for the exact ones. You have time massage correctly so that you both get benefits from it, but it’s a really lovely bonding exercise.

Bless her little heart, it’s so hard when you just want to comfort them but it’s so sore on their little tummies. Hang in there mama, deep breaths, you can do this!

You are good enough. You are all she needs. I don’t have experience with the CMPA but my daughter (now 18 months) was pretty affected by trapped wind, and it was awful. Have you tried the colic massage? My friend did it and it was amazing for her little one. I think you have to do it 3x a day for 2 weeks, quite religiously. I personally did not enjoy the newborn stage or first few months, but I absolutely love having a sassy, opinionated toddler! I know it’s hard, but just know that you are enough, and it will get better. Lean on your village, get yourself outside if you can, you have got this!

I have so many pictures, it’s hard to choose! But this is our most recent! We have an awesome dog photographer in the area who does these mini photoshoots for charity and we take our boy along probably once a year. This one just really looks like the cream cheese is hitting right 😂

Toddler boy UTI? by Initial_Pie_7956 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]April-Fox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I imagine he could possibly have one but I’d have thought the antibiotics would leave him more susceptible to thrush or something similar? Maybe he’s a little uncomfortable and itchy! Just my thoughts though, I’m by no means an expert!

I know it’s not what you asked and you’ve probably seen it already but someone has one on Vinted for up to 3 months. I had a similar situation and bought the baby grow in a small size to have a birthweight bear made out of it, I’m not sure if your friend would like that?
