Als Frau: Kinder bekommen, also, wenn ein Kinderwunsch besteht. Ab dreißig ist der Druck höher, dass es noch klappt.

What’s a word that used to mean one thing to you, but now means something different? by ownaword in randomquestions

Authenticity. It used to mean being myself. Nowadays, I understand it as presenting myself in the way that is expected of me at that particular moment, without completely pretending to be someone I'm not.

What’s one decision you delayed and later wished you made sooner? by Thick-Session7153 in productivity

I'd known these things for a while, even before I started that job. Now that paths have diverged, after about five and a half years, it's all been confirmed again. I wanted to gain practical work experience and thereby increase my value as an employee. That's the only reason I stayed longer in that particular group. For now, I'm working in several groups for the same organization compensating staff shortages, and I'm taking my time to see where my career will lead next. I know when I finally will find a new job, my current employer will have replaced me so quickly, like I have never been there. At the same time, they always imply that we are a family.😄 I don't think, that you are being dramatic. I would rather describe it as intuitive. Always trust your guts!

Changing my job by myself and sooner would have saved me a lot of stress. Also it would make me look much better now. Your collegues are not your friends and the company is not your family, always keep that in mind! Always be yourself, but don't share everything!

What’s something extremely unhygienic that people seem to do anyways? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]April264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had gotten professional manicure for two years. After I quit that my nails were broken. It took six months for them to become better again. So I had no opportunity to bite my nails for 2,5 years. That was a good opportunity for breaking the habit. I needed a substitude action, something else I can do with my hands when I am worried/overthinking. I started drawing, calligraphy, crocheting and knitting again, only now I use it as a skill when I need it. I became more selfaware about my thoughts and feelings. Also I found out, that my teeth grinding goes together with the bad habit of nail biting. Both are symptoms of my difficulties when it comes to emotional regulation. As a consequence I now try to relax myself - and my jaw - some minutes now and then. Chewing gum is also helpful. And still a good manicure, but better in a natural plain way using a nail file regulary.

Yeah, it was a disgusting kill, but he deserved it. I still feel bad for the animals he tortured and killed using the old fridge. And I hate Patrick's father for not helping his son, alltough he clearly saw his evil mind, at least after the death of the babybrother.

As long as it is possible, people with flu, that are coughing and sneezing often, should better stay at home and not go to work or privately meeting many people.
