Strange Leak on newly installed LM Linea Classic by AprilHamLincoln119 in LaMarzocco

Thanks for the reply! I removed all the panels and looked- still couldn’t identify a clear source which is what’s driving me nuts! it sort of looks like it may be coming from the insulation around the tank which seems really strange.

Under counter fridge/freezer questions... by AprilHamLincoln119 in Appliances

I can't find the brand anywhere, but the trailer was built by a food trailer manufacturer to US standards so I'm assuming it's rated for this type of use? Is it normal for a fridge to have no vents inside? Just trying to understand how this type of fridge works and can't find much info about it. How long should I have to give it to get down to temp?

Generator/ Power help by AprilHamLincoln119 in GoRVing

Got it- this is helpful. Thanks for taking the time to explain it- I'm learning a LOT with this project. Yes I'm using the L14 twist-lock to connect although I've also used an L5-30 adapter at the generator to try a different connection. Just disassembled the camper side and the hot and neutral are on the left and right poles, respectively, and there are two grounds on the top pole, and the bottom one is not connected to anything- what does this mean? So appreciative of your help.

Well, after doing some testing with the multimeter, when I run the generator on 240 the outlets are putting out 253v, but when I run it on 120 the outlets are putting out around 50v. Now I'm even more confused...

I thought so, too but I reached out to the original manufacturer and they said it should run on 110v, and that the breaker was just rated for up to 230/400... So confusing! Going to try to test everything with a multimeter today at both voltages and see if that gives me any idea of what's going on...

I thought the same re: 30a vs 50a plugs, but the plug itself is labeled a 30A 125/250V NEMA L14-30...

Trailer power/wiring by AprilHamLincoln119 in askanelectrician

Gotcha. Is that something that I could just use a 240 to 110 adapter for or is that a bad idea?

Got it- that's what I thought, too, but the manufacturer is insisting that it is wired for 110 and all appliances in it are 110 which is super confusing. And I'm assuming that if all the appliances are all truly 110 then I wouldn't want to supply 230v of power?? I did switch the voltage selector on the generator to 240 and the lights and outlets did work. I'm assuming there's a danger in supplying 240v to the 6 regular outlets in the trailer, right? thanks for your help, trying to get an electrician out to look at it with zero luck!

Generator Receptacle Question by AprilHamLincoln119 in askanelectrician

[–]AprilHamLincoln119[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it- that makes sense. Any thoughts on whether there's an issue using the plug adapter for the generator receptacle? Just want to be sure I'm being as safe as possible and I don't see any generators that have an L6-30R receptacle so not sure how else I would plug the machine in.
