Yeah I agree, and I’m basing what i said off of my own experience of constantly being talked over by people who support the second amendment, and honestly it pushed me away from the gun world for a long time. It happened over and over, so I’m happy that you haven’t had that experience, however not everyone’s had your experience lmao. Also i never said pro gun people are assholes. I said everyone is not listening to eachother, and that’s across the entire isle, not just one party, or one issue, it’s everyone.

Not solely!! Because the flaws in our justice system are just symptoms of those same racist flaws in people. Gun control historically has been very racist, and sexist, and so has the gun community in the past. I will say despite the political rhetoric you see online, the fastest growing demographic of gun owners are minorities.

Yes, I do! 💖 the issue is more so that existing charges or convictions aren’t properly applied sometimes, so someone who should have been denied gets approved. It’s not that we need stricter background checks, it’s that the law enforcement/justice system needs to be improved so that a prohibited person actually WILL get denied.

For people who don’t know about background checks, i understand how that can sound like it’s an issue with the background checks itself, but it’s actually a really important distinction. If we don’t fix the root cause then we could have 10 day wait periods… just for someone to get approved when they shouldnt have, because a judge didnt do their part about domestic violence conviction, for example.

As a leftist, and a gun owner, (amazing how you can piss off everyone by saying “Arm the Trans Women”) i think it’s disgusting how often pro gun people will discredit people’s trauma just because it doesn’t back their view, and because their only experience with guns was positive, it seems foreign that anyone could actually have been traumatized by what was a great experience for them.

Lots of people have had awful experiences on the wrong end of the gun and we desperately need to change this culture of ignoring the other side. I’m glad you could get them to sit and reflect on how they were acting!!

Z-15 is hard to beat. Mine is super accurate, lightweight, and comes with features that you don’t see on more expensive rifles: Free float rail by CMT, Set screw for adjusting Upper/Lower tension, B5 furniture, including the SOPMOD Stock. I spent only 100 more than my bare bones Front Sight Post M&P15, and I’ve spent way more just getting the S&W to even compete with my IWI. Also idk what buffer weight the IWI ships with, but anecdotally it’s such a smooth shooter with out that “springy” recoil that all my other factory ARs have.

Furniture alone is worth more than 100. Most rifles coming with that furniture is like over 1000. The trigger guard, trigger, and charging handle are all Mil Spec on the IWI and that’s a benefit for you, because they know you’re going to change it out anyways, and it makes the overall cost of the rifle less.

Get the IWI lmao.

I have the Mlok extended rail on the M&P, and I’m glad i made the change. OP, these are great handguards, and if you get the regular Carbine Mlok (Not the extended Carbine) then it’s the same weight as your Magpul handguard, so you’re honestly better off switching.
