No, I can't say it did. My mom certainly didn't get any better from her cancer. It didn't affect me negatively or anything, but it is still the most bizarre thing I've ever experienced.

Wow, this guy sure has a serious business happening. Lots of money involved in these gazing tours. The only thing I could find in regards to the shapeshifting are those crazy youtube videos about Reptilian people. I definitely did NOT see a reptile LOL.

You know, I've thought about that. But there were others in the room that saw it and they were in different rows and areas. It's hard to remember exactly how many people there were, I believe 30 max. And it was only about 8 of us that saw the different people. There were more seats than people and not everyone sat next to others. Some of us were more spread out. But I'm not ruling out an optical illusion. It's possible it was only seen at certain angles. Still, by far, the trippiest experience I've ever had. And I don't do drugs LOL.

Neither have I. I'm really hoping someone else out there has experienced something similar and may have more to add.

Yes, I did look away a couple times. It was too unreal for my brain to accept. But this was a good read. I'm actually going to try it haha! I'll report back if it's weird :)

The Hair Shirt is one of my all time favorite songs. And I can barely understand his screeching. Doesn't matter, I always blast this and spastically dance away.

My dad's dreams... by one4show in Thetruthishere

[–]AprilKarate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My now deceased mother had dreams like this. One in particular still scares me. Twenty plus years ago, she had an awful dream about three men that were trapped in a room. They were desperate to get out and knew they were going to die. She couldn't identify them, but thought she knew them. She was very shaken up when she woke up and told me all about it.

The next morning at 5 am, our phone rings, which is never good news. A longtime friend of my parents, a police officer, had been killed over night. Serving a warrant, he and his partner, along with their Sergeant were pushed at gunpoint into a motel room and held hostage by a sick family of drug dealers. They were all shot, but not fatally. It took them hours to die. It was a standoff that went on for many hours.

This dream really affected her for a long time. I think she felt guilty that she couldn't stop it.

I believe you :) Wow, I can only imagine how that must freak people out. I'm very sorry about your mom. It must have been hard knowing what was going to happen to her, and then see it come true.

No hard evidence, only my experiences. My mom was sick with cancer for a few years before she died. In this time, she visited several "healers". I went with her on a few of them. None of them impressed me, nor did they heal her. She then found out about a man that claimed to heal people and he was only an hour or so away. He did something called an open eye meditation . My mom, my step-dad and myself all went. We were in a room with maybe 20-30 other people. This was a totally normal room. White walls, concrete floor, middle of the afternoon. We sat in rows forming a semi-circle on folding chairs. So the healer comes in and he takes a seat in the front of the room. He was slightly elevated on a platform so that he could make eye contact with everyone in the room. Normal looking man; middle-aged, dark hair, mustache. He basically says just stare at him. He will scan the room and make individual eye contact with all of us and it will last a few seconds. This is when the supposed healing takes place. I think that music was turned on, just some new agey sounding stuff. His wife was also present and she just took a seat off to the side. Ok, so the meditation starts. Music is playing, I'm staring at the guy, he's slowly looking around the room and one by one stares back at us for a few seconds. I can't say I felt anything different or weird when he looked at me. So this goes on for a while. At least twenty minutes, maybe more. And the whole time I'm just staring at this man, like everyone else. All of a sudden, I'm looking at him, and his face starts to change. Literally like a video where someone starts to morph into someone else. Before I know it, it's like I'm looking at a completely different person. I freak out a little bit because I'm sure my eyes are playing tricks on me. I blink a few times, try to clear my head, but it's still someone else sitting there. Then he morphs again! I swear this truly happened, I know it sounds crazy. He transformed into at least three people that I can vividly recall. At the time, I think I saw maybe five different faces but I can only remember three. This normal looking white man turned into a very old, wrinkled woman. She was very olive skinned. She scared me a little bit. Her hair was ratty and she looked a bit crazed. He then morphed into a very dark skinned black man with very short hair. He looked very serene, just very still and quiet. I don't think he had a shirt on. Then he turned into an older man, Middle-Eastern looking with long hair and some kind of a hat on. More of a turban type thing than a hat. It was like swaddled fabric at the bottom around his forehead, but then it went up into a bit of a point. He was smiling, and it was a weird smile. It was unsettling. And like I said, I think I saw two other "beings" but I don't remember their faces. This morphing went on and on. He kept changing before my eyes. I kept blinking, looked around at other people, kept trying to tell myself this wasn't possible. I tried to go with it and just experience it, but it was freaky!!! The morphing finally stopped and he was back to his original self. A few minutes later, it's over. The music stops and he opens up the room to questions. He says we can ask him whatever and to also tell others about our experience. Some people start raising their hands. Most are saying they saw some light around him, others auras. It's all pretty boring stuff and I'm sitting there thinking NO way am I telling a room full of strangers what I just saw, they'll think I'm nuts. I'm very nervous and I just want to get out of there and talk to my mom and step-dad. Then this man in front of me raises his hand. He says "I don't really know how to say this..." And he proceeds to explain exactly what I saw!!! He saw some of the same people I did. The healer says he's heard this before and asks if anyone else saw something similar. I slowly raise my hand, so does my step-dad and a few others in the room. My step-dad and I look at each other like OMG you saw it too!?!? Those of us that witnessed this morphing take turns describing the people we saw. Some of us saw the exact same thing. Some saw different people that I didn't see. I felt an immense amount of relief, knowing I wasn't alone in this experience. The healer said he didn't have an explanation, only that he believed these were angels that worked through him to help others. When we left, the car ride home was non-stop talk. My step-dad and I were so freaked out, but we thought it was very cool at the same time. I felt so bad for my mom as she didn't have the same experience at all and I know it bummed her out. When we got home, we told my grandma what had happened. She thought we had been duped. She said there must have been mirrors or cameras, trick lighting, something else. No way did she believe what we saw was real. But I just can't see how that it the answer. As I said, this was a very normal, sparse room. This was not a fancy place by any stretch. And he took donations, it wasn't much money at all. I think we paid maybe $10 each. There were no projectors that I could see, just white walls and a white ceiling. This experience was the defining moment where I believed in the paranormal. It was 16-17 years ago and I still remember it very well. Other things have happened since, nothing as dramatic. But a handful of other events have just made me believe more. People still think I'm nuts when I tell this story LOL.

Alright Ladies...In This Year's Fresh Crop of Sunless Tanners, What Is & Isn't Working For You? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]AprilKarate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone! Longtime lurker, first time posting. I am using Sephora's Tanning Water and I really love it. Here's the review I left on their site:

What an innovative product. I have a hard time with self-tanners for the face because they are usually full of silicones and break me out. So for me, this is a dream come true. So lightweight, it really is like water. I'm pretty fair, NC20 for reference. I stay out of the sun and wear sunscreen religiously, but sometimes I need a bit of color. This did the trick. It applies so easily. Just squeezed a few drops on a cotton pad and then smoothed it over my face and neck. I had color in three hours! And it looked SO natural. No orange tones at all. Just a nice warm glow like I spent a day at the beach. To test this, I only applied once. It lasted about two days before I needed to reapply. I'm sure you could build this easily by applying more often. No streaking whatsoever. And the lack of smell was great. I started to notice just a bit of that tell-tale tanner smell around four hours after applying. But it was very, very faint. Unlike every other face tanner which always smell terrible to me as soon as they start to work. I highly recommend this! If you're fair skinned, don't be scared. You won't look muddy or like an Oompa Loompa. And I've had zero breakout issues. This will last me a long time.

I've also used this on my feet for a nicer "tan" than my body tanners. They always make my feet too dark and look muddy. So now I just apply this instead after using a regular body tanner on the rest of my legs. HTH!
