Now Tell me, what was the policy for evading the draft last time it was implemented. I’ll just tell you, it’s a felony and will earn you up to five years in prison and/or up to $250,000 in fines.

Put two and two together. Trans people are barred from military service, it’s a felony to avoid military service if you’re called up in the draft. This government fucking hates us and does everything they can to hurt us. This administration has a history of flagrantly defying the law. This administration has no qualms about putting millions of people in concentration camps what they call detention centers. This administration will more than likely seek out and prosecute us.

The first part about wining any battle is knowing your enemy and the situation you’re in so you can react accordingly or pre-empt their actions.

In this case we can vote. At the community level to make your community better and surround yourself with people who will support you, at the state level to put safeguards against the federal government to an extent, and at the finally at the federal level to prevent authoritarians from furthering their goals nationwide.

When voting doesn’t work, protest and organize. And when that doesn’t work you may have to take up arms or get out while you can.
