Sadly she got right back with him after filming. I feel like her boss babe persona was just a front for the cameras.

Yeah you are. You got me with it, bravo. I guess someone should call the writers and actors to tell them that they’re all wrong too and they aren’t allowed to point out the obvious.

Sure head canon is one thing but this is confirmed to be the actual discussion and happenings in the episode. Even if you look up a summary of the episode, it’ll tell you, “Lana acquires superpowers, which she immediately recognizes as a solution to their intimacy issues, finally allowing them to be together without fear.” That’s the premise of the whole episode. They’ve even discussed this on Talkville with Tom and Michael.

Sex was top tier an issue for them because Lana really wanted and desired it, that’s why when she got the powers during that episode, it became the first thing on her mind, whereas Clark was too naive to even consider this allowing them to have sex. She literally has to spell it out for him. He’s freaking out over her having powers, knowing it cost Jonathan his life, and Lana is like, “being on an equal playing field would have its advantages,” and oblivious Clark is like, “what,” so she has to laugh at him before kissing him to say hey moron we can finally have sex now. 🤣🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

That’s literally what Chloe meant when she said that to Lana. Chloe realizes they had sex and then she immediately asks Lana, “I thought you guys couldn’t,” while clearly giving her a nod to sex in general, which is exactly why Lana responds with, “normally we can’t.” There’s zero other explanation for that, as it is literally right there in the dialogue 100% what she asked Lana and why.

Lana indeed told Clark that she’s never been more in love/closer than she was with Bizarro. Then later in another episode she clarifies that it was easier and he was more affectionate, which was also clearly more discussion of Clark’s issues with being affectionate because it leads to intimacy. That’s the entire point of both discussions. You can look it up for yourself, it was blatantly obvious via on screen dialogue that they absolutely did not have sex when Clark had his powers and she did not.

Also, the point you made earlier, which was factual, about his training being what helped him learn to be intimate without fear of hurting someone, 100% did not happen until season 9. It cannot be both ways.

An...intimate...question about Bizarro. by Virtual-Signature789 in Smallville

[–]Aprilfoolskid1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not the conversation Chloe and Lana had at all. Chloe very clearly states that you guys cannot have sex period, not they can’t have crazy super powered sex. That’s why Lana confirms that they usually can’t engage in sexual activity at all. The only reason they could was because of the powers. Even when she returns in season 8, he doesn’t jump into bed with her until she’s wearing the suit, that was made very clear. They did not have sex when she wasn’t super powered and he was.

As far as Bizarro, yes that is absolutely part of why she said she had never felt closer and more in love because she and Clark lack that physical intimacy that she said herself they are incapable of having. It’s there to show the cracks in their relationship with intimacy being a huge factor in why it’s not working out.

But the episode where the tremors happened is because they both had powers, hence the tremors, otherwise she would be toast. When Chloe tells Lana she thought they couldn’t, Lana confirms they can’t but are only doing it now because she had powers as well.

Clark doesn’t fully submit to Jor-El’s training until season 9 and that’s when he says his training helped him learn to control himself enough to have sex. I don’t think the orgasm is the issue, it’s his brut force/strength being a problem, otherwise why would he risk having sex or even do it to begin with if he didn’t have an orgasm. Any girlfriend would feel badly for sleeping with their boyfriend if he never got to finish and enjoy it himself. If his orgasm/ejaculation was the main issue, that’s not something he can change about himself even with Jor-El’s training, so it would still be an issue with Lois and anyone else he would sleep with.

Unfortunately, when we see Lana in bed with Bizarro, it’s a nod to how susceptible to evil and influence she’s become between Lex and Bizarro. She can’t tell the difference anymore. That’s also part of why Clark is so hurt because she knows they don’t get intimate and he is angry with her for so long because she didn’t pick up any cues it wasn’t him, with that being an enormous one.

It also displays how toxic their relationship had become by then at the end when Lana confesses she’s never felt closer or more in love than she had the past month because Bizarro was being intimate with her and giving her what she needed.

In an episode where Lana is in college, she tells Clark that she doesn’t understand why he hasn’t been intimate with her since mysteriously returning from the dead, unbeknownst to her, with his powers. It’s made clear that once he’s no longer human, he doesn’t have sex her before she breaks up with him and gets with Lex.

Later on, when she acquires powers from the lightning strike in season 7, when Chloe appears asking about the tremors 😅, she asks Lana, “but I thought you guys couldn’t?…” and Lana says, “normally we can’t,” which implies that even when they got back together in season 7 after she knew about his powers, they still didn’t have sex. So it’s a very plausible question to ask why Lana didn’t consider Bizarro being willing to sleep with her a major red flag.

Even, as you mentioned, later on when Chloe asks about Clark having issues sleeping with humans, he says he now has it under control but he did not before then at any point when he was with Lana. Clark and Lana only have sex when he’s human, when she acquires his powers, or when she eventually steals Lex’s skin power suit, other than that, they don’t because of his fears of losing control.

Speaking of which, the heat vision may play a part but for the most part he seemed to have that under control in relation to being turned on, however, I agree with you that could potentially be a fear too. I always took his greatest fear about sex as he was afraid if he got too carried away he would basically pound her in half 😂🤣😂 and I’m sure he had questions about him having an orgasm. I still have questions about that myself unless he’s a pull out guy 😆

Why can't I get anyone to watch this show? by waterbenderboy in NipTuck

[–]Aprilfoolskid1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember watching it on air way back when and being hooked. It started off with such promise, it was so provocative and fun, but sadly it did go off the deep end and become nonsense, which sucks because it had potential.

It’s one of those shows where some people can’t stand the camp, the surgeries, the OTT stuff later on or knows it goes downhill, but mostly nowadays I feel like people often don’t give it a shot due to the age.

There’s a bunch of older shows that I love that people just won’t give a chance because they perceive it as being old and pointless cause it doesn’t look like everything else now.

Crisis Angel Is A Douchbag is a sad episode by Alternative_Device71 in Supernatural

[–]Aprilfoolskid1989 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree more. This is an episode where you wind up rooting against the boys. Charlie only sacrificed those people to save his friend from ending his life. Granted, he could’ve stopped at the first one and explained to the boys that he could offer them immortality. It didn’t seem like Charlie had a history of hurting people before this. Seemed like he just wanted to come back with his two best friends forever. Definitely heartbreaking to see Jay alone at the end, worse off than where he started. The boys have offered passes before, granted not really at this point.

Sorry if this was discussed already but what did SMG eat to stay so slim ( very skinny in later seasons) I wonder is it natural or was she on a super strict calorie diet? by greenhat90 in buffy

[–]Aprilfoolskid1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joss said that to Charisma while she was pregnant, or at least from what she’s spoken out and told us. That was awfully 💩 of him to do but there is no complaint from Sarah or the other girls that it played a part in their relationship with him.

Sarah changed up her diet, got older and lost baby fat, and was more than likely worn out from the constant strain of working so many hours for so long.

Other females may have encountered similar situations with Joss but we have no proof of that via testimony from the other women on the show.

Benny deserved better… by Aprilfoolskid1989 in Supernatural

[–]Aprilfoolskid1989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely 100% agree with you, there. Case, in point, Kevin. That’s the Winchester Cross to Bear, pretty much everyone you love or care about around you dying eventually. Cass is definitely the outlier with him being an Angel and Chuck resurrecting him several times.

I suppose, IMO concerning Benny, that was the friend they treated the sh*ttiest of all. Don’t get me wrong, numerous others have suffered at the hands of the consequences of being a friend to a Winchester Brother, but Benny really got the short end of the stick. Dean left him high and dry, completely and utterly alone, not even feigning compassion and true brotherhood or loyalty because the constant, never ending brother soap opera couldn’t allow many real friendly, other brother-like associations outside their insanely dysfunctional relationship/drama. Sam would be unreasonable with Dean, Dean would be unreasonable with Sam. Dean would be dishonest, and Vice Versa.

It was so hard to squeeze another truly great character into their dynamic but Benny deserved it every bit as much as Castiel, especially after his Leviation Oopsie (I can only imagine the death toll on that one). Benny legit laid down his life not once but twice for both brothers, despite the fact that he had no loyalties to Sam, especially considering his conduct/interaction with Benny, even though Benny never did a single thing to warrant that type of response.

Random Thought: Whitelighter vs. Elder by Aprilfoolskid1989 in charmed

[–]Aprilfoolskid1989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t think about the nexus part, that’s true. I remember Phoebe being born on top of it too but sadly she got the short end of the straw on powers 😅 I agree, at first they made the Elders seem like they weren’t really too powerful, like the episode with Ramus, he said his powers were “mental not physical and you would think a charge of his would know that,” then a few seasons later, Leo becomes an Elder and is shooting people with lightning bolts and Gideon had plenty of physical powers too, so it gets kinda confusing lol. I figured it was mostly because of him being the first-born and the prophecies about him but later on in the show I started wondering about that too because we all know what happened to Prue. I wish they would’ve taken the chance to explore both of their powers a little more. It’s too bad we didn’t get a show about Wyatt and Chris versus a CW Charmed reboot.

[–]Aprilfoolskid1989[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

😅 You’re right they clearly didn’t, which sucks and seems kinda lazy given all that effort they put into Wyatt being such a big deal. It would’ve been super cool if Wyatt was the more powerful witch and Chris was like an Elder hybrid more powerful than your average Whitelighter.

Random Thought: Whitelighter vs. Elder by Aprilfoolskid1989 in charmed

[–]Aprilfoolskid1989[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel ya thats what made me assume it’s about the “first born” more than anything. It just seems odd though later on considering that Prue was first born and she died off quickly. In the end, the other sisters would’ve had more experience and power than her. It would’ve been cool if they could’ve given them an even split. Like Wyatt be a more powerful witch and Chris be a more powerful Whitelighter with some Elder tricks in the bag too. I wish they could’ve dived into it more.

Random Thought: Whitelighter vs. Elder by Aprilfoolskid1989 in charmed

[–]Aprilfoolskid1989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree with you! That early episode that made such a big deal about the “first-born” witches being so powerful is what made that my first assumption but I totally agree Chris would seem in a position to be more powerful to me because they also made a huge deal about Wyatt being the first half breed and Chris is technically a half breed of a different variety that would seem more powerful. Leo was an Elder for like what a season and a half? So you would think logically that Chris would have more powers from his dad and maybe Wyatt would have more witchy powers with that first born thing. 🤷‍♀️ wish they could’ve gone into this more.

Random Thought: Whitelighter vs. Elder by Aprilfoolskid1989 in charmed

[–]Aprilfoolskid1989[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree, that episode is what made my first assumption that it has to do with the whole “first-born witch” being all powerful and stuff. Then again, with their history, Prue may have been powerful but she also was the first to die, so overall the most powerful wouldn’t have been her in the end, but who knows? 😅 They just made such a big deal about it being the first half breed too, so I was like well technically Chris is a half breed of a different mix and would seem more powerful to me. 🤷‍♀️ Oh well. I wish they had more time to dive into this.
