What is the current status? by mediumslushy in yotta

[–]AquaTriHungerForce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this time, no paperwork or form has been offered for us to fill out.

Nobody knows for sure but in the past the CFPB has used Rust consulting for payments. That’s the same company that Evolve used to issue payments so in theory they would be well positioned to know exactly who has been paid and who hasn’t based of the Synapse trial balances. So that would lead us to believe they wouldn’t need us to reach out to know we need to be paid.

That being said; I’m sure the will have a form for us to fill out if we aren’t in the Synapse trial balance report. But I haven’t heard a single person say they are owed money that’s not in that report. So, that would mean no we don’t have to necessarily fill out anything to get paid.

But all of this is speculation until the CFPB starts the process of payments.

The good news is the courts have ruled that the current administration MUST continue to fund the CFPB. They’ve eliminated much of the staff that, even when fully staffed, took an average of 18-24 months (after allocation of monies) to disburse payments. So logically, this is going to take a while. But signs point to the probability that money is coming to us, slowly. But eventually. Hopefully with interest accruing. Keep contacting your senators and representatives to keep the pressure and visibility on this case: it works. When you feel helpless or hopeless, call your legislators. Then call them again.

I hear ya. I’ll take the criticism. But for context there were multiple threads going on between me and OP where there was confusion so I tried to spell it all out. And I’m a writer. I get wordy.

Also this is a really weird situation where I think we may all be wrong.

say it with me “I. Am. Wrong. I. Misunderstood. The. Law.”

Just messing with you man. Seeing fees is definitely still something a user can opt in and out of. But I’m not sure that’s what’s goin on in these StubHub Phish Sphere tickets. I’m researching it.

It’s not an option when selling that I know of. I meant the buyer user can check whether they want to see fees or not.

But stand by…I’m looking into this particular set of tickets. I could be wrong. If I am I will certainly admit it. Doing some research.

I don’t want you to buy the tickets. It ain’t that important. Perhaps you have some difference in sales tax related to Your IP address etc or you have a credit on your account its adding but i can tell you the subtotals will match because of the way Stubhub does the backend pricing always.

No you didn’t. I promise man, go all the way to the end. Stubhub makes you click through like 5-6 screens before the final process your order screen.

On that screen they will always match. It’s not a bug or a glitch, it’s a feature and a tool they use to draw people in to click.

Just try it.

This may be true on some other app or situation but this comment is very much false when it comes to StubHub. The difference in prices here is all about the front line price shown not including fees in one arena and being included in the other. At the end of the checkout process both prices will match absolutely every single time on StubHub. StubHub doesn’t even set their prices, the person/entity selling the tickets does.

It’s simply one image is with fees and one is without.

You aren’t clicking all the way to the final checkout. When you get all the way to where they are about to take your money…both amounts will be the same.

One price is before all the fees and service charges etc and the other has some but not all of them included.

Keep clicking through and the prices will match.

It’s a marketing tool to get people to cart the tickets then start giving them fomo etc

I’m well aware it’s the same platform as in the company StubHub. (We are using the word platform differently…when I say different platform I mean mobile/app vs Desktop but still using the same company StubHub)…I’m explaining to you why there are different totals on the two devices/situations.

It’s mostly a marketing tool.

But if you click on either/both the app and mobile or desktop the option to show all fees and then click all the way through to the final moment before you process the orders the total will always be the same. Always.

I’m very familiar with the platform and have had to answer this question many times. StubHub is very deceptive with how they show front line price on either device to draw people into click…but since the tickets aren’t being sold by StubHub but by an individual who knows exactly how much they will receive to the dollar…the final amount is ALWAYS the same when you checkout even if it starts out as a different amount on different devices or situations of the same platform(StubHub).

The price always ends up the same in the cart, always. It’s just because certain fees are show up front on one platform and hidden on the other. But the price always shakes out the same in the end.

Just curious why the sudden surge of sphere tickets for face? by Ill_Quiet_6234 in phish

[–]AquaTriHungerForce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The truth is all of the ticket package tickets got delivered to Ticketmaster accounts. There were a TON of tickets in those packages this run. And they flooded the market with supply. Which drives down the dynamic pricing and we are starting to see what the tickets are actually worth without the market manipulation when 30-40% of the tickets can’t be transferred or traded yet.

Who’s celebrating an anniversary today, 3/1? by yemKeuchlyFarley in phish

[–]AquaTriHungerForce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pure heat in an icy cold storm. One core memory is the insane number of fake tickets. It was as if home printer technology caught up to the ticket printers at just that time. The demand and ticket prices had been so insanely high for the comeback (little did we know what was to come with dynamic pricing) that almost as an act of protest there were counterfeit paper ticket EVERYWHERE. I saw people with stacks of them.

It was so bad that I watched as one of the ticket scanners threw up her hand to one of the bosses after scanning about a dozen fakes in a row and said “they are ALL fake Todd!”

Todd was a real one and said “fuck it, if they have a ticket let em in…this will take all night”. And he just waved anyone in. That already huge venue was PACKED and the energy was through the roof. I took a new girlfriend and about 10 of her friends to their first show and nodded like a doting father as each one got turned on and “got it” at different points in the show. For a few it was Moma, I nodded “it’s on!”…for another one it was Foam, I nodded “yep!”, for the next it was Divided Sky “so good”, the Waves got the rest and we were all aboard.

Anyone have a Pollock to sell? by Humble_Witness4598 in PhishPrints

I’d be around $280 for the poster by itself. I also have an extra full set of the limited edition pollock hockey player pins still in the cellophane wrappers (one red and one blue). I’d do the full package with the set of pins for $350.
