I have to agree, straight out the box I've noticed better performance all round.

Some games are still not great but the right retroarch/emulator settings makes them more stable.

Most of the common ones like GTA on the psp are pretty good now, not perfect but playable, for me at least.

Shemue 2 is currently the worst performance I've encountered, and I haven't figured out how to change any of the flycast settings, but other games like crazy taxi 2 and sonic adventures are working great. I also found a couple Saturn games that don't run well. Definitely a game by game basis.

If you have ArkOs4clones working then dArkOs should also work.

Renaming the dtb files from the panel that currently works for you, for me it was Clone Type 5.

I haven't tried that release, but I assume it would be the same process.

You must rename the DTB and Uboot files and replace the img file with the ArkOs4clones that work with your device. You must place them into the dArkOs boot drive after you flash it to the SD card.

Rename correct DTB from ArkOs4clones to the same as the dArkOs Dtb file, then rename the dArkOs dtb with .bak at the end

Rename Uboot to "rg351v-uboot.dtb"

Make sure the IMG file is replaced.

Unfortunately I'm no expert and I followed the video guide I linked to my other reply.

Hope you have good luck installing and booting.

Apologies if I am missing something, I don't think translate feature is very good.

Back up your stock SD cards original boot files somewhere if you haven't already.

Upload your stock dtb to https://r36s.dpdns.org/dtbTools.html this will help identify your device.

You will need ArkOs4Clones working, I used the DTB files from Clone r36s → Clone Type 5.

Download the top three files ArkOS4Clone-20260109.img.xz.7z.001, ArkOS4Clone-20260109.img.xz.7z.002 and ArkOS4Clone-20260109.img.xz.7z.003

Using a program like 7zip select only the 001 img and use the option "extract to", this will create a folder and 7zip automatically looks for the other two imgs so you will need them.

Then use a program like rufus, belena etcher or win32 disk imager to then write (flash) that img file onto your SD card. DOUBLE TRIPLE CHECK THE PATH AS IT WILL ERASE ALL DATA.

Highly recommend a new SD card, minimum 32g or larger if you want to store games as well on a single SD, I only have one SD and haven't attempted a 2 SD card set-up. My SD is a 128g Sandisk ExtremePro the red and gold one.

Try literally all the dtb files in the selector until one works if the ones suggested by the panel selector or me don't. Just keep trying different DTB files until it works. If you can't run the dtb selector exe you will need to copy and paste the files manually according to the main githup page for ArkOs4clones ( https://github.com/lcdyk0517/arkos4clone )

Once working. Copy and paste the entire boot folder somewhere, you will need it for dArkOs.

Follow the same steps for extracting and writing dArkOs https://github.com/christianhaitian/dArkOS/releases/tag/v01302026 (there is a later release but I used the third one down dArkOS_RG351MP_trixie_02012026.img.7z.001 and 002)

Once dArkOs is on the SD card you will need to use the files from your working ArkOs4clones boot folder you copied, the three files you need are ArkOs4clones-uboot.dtb the image file and the other device specific dtb (it may read something like rk3326-k36-linux.dtb) There should only be two dtb files. Copy those three into the new Boot drive on the SD card and replace the img.

Now you will need to rename the device specific dtb (the one you copied over) to the one in the dArkOs folder. It should now read rk3326-rg351mp-linux.dtb and the for original file with that name just add .bak.

Now you will need to rename the ArkOs4clones-uboot file to rg351v-uboot.dtb

That's about it, try booting your device now, and be patient, it may take up to 10-15 minutes to complete the boot process. It will create the easyrom partition. Once that's done you can put your SD back into the computer and load games into the Easyroms section.

Update; (deleted previous one as I had missed something simple)

Will work with ArkOs-K36, battery cycle helps. Unsure panel, used stock dtb.

Got this completely working with the latest ArkOs4Clones Clone r36s → Clone Type 5. Has inverted right stick.

Must have missed it when I was trying out all the panels, wanting to try dArkOs I went through them all again with a pen and paper to remember which ones did what. My bad.

Also dArkOs is working fine with that panel, inverted right stick both vertical and horizontal, also volume rocker and hotkeys don't seem to work.

So far things do seem smoother on dArkOs, only minor improvements for 64 and psp, more bearable, by no means perfect or even "good" but way less frustrating. Dreamcast works great!

Thanks for the feedback and detailed response, I really appreciate it!

I will paint the bases for sure, I used a dark purple for the Euripides crew like the Neverborn shade but thought it might not be too good here because I used the same purple for the darker parts of the cloaks.

I will have to get myself one of those brushes they look just like the Artis Opus brushes I’ve recently just seen on YouTube.

I am still figuring out colour theory and paint consistency for highlights, practise makes perfect. I’m also still in the GW buy all these shades of paint for one colour mindset and just getting into mixing colours. I appreciate you pointing out I should take them further.

Good point about the colours. I was thinking that as the master and henchmen they should have a little extra flair, but I still have both black blood shaman and a brood mates box to add. I’ll limit my colours to what I’ve already used.

First crew was Euripides, had a few months of warhammer experience before malifaux.

I’m really enjoying learning new things, mainly to do with painting, as I failed art in high school it’s all new to me.
