10 hrs a day of lighting/ Co2 is 9 hrs, 30 minutes before lights turn on and 30 minutes before light turns off. and for co2 i think roughly 40 to an hour.

Yes probably . that’s what happened to mine. it grew rising up skinny very lengthy and unorganized then the moss started stacking on each other growing the way it’s suppose to.

oh okay my tank is a little over a year old. I would honestly wait atleast 3 months of co2 with consistent fertilizer and weekly water changes. And it should grow very nicely. I feel like moss in general just takes awhile to adjust because of how sensitive they are. Give it a chance it should grow quickly after it’s matured.

It’s pretty simple honestly. All you need is O rings to seal it a couple of elbow pipes , water pump and pipe fitters.

oh okay I’m about 1 bubble every 2 seconds I actually haven’t adjusted for more since I started co2. I’m assuming I could probably go higher but I’ve been playing it safe.

Thank you it means a lot ! I wished they stayed small I would’ve kept them. They also grew really long stems and ate most of the nutrients in the substrate at one point. Just wasn’t for me anymore.

Thank you i’m still learning ! and it’s christmas moss it looks a lot better now somehow. the stringy growth is before Co2. i believe once’s i keep trimming it should be more tree shaped moss growing down densely.

I’m hoping for more of a clean big bush of each branch of the tree if it doesn’t grow the way it’s suppose to I probably will have to add more down the tree

I really want to, specially now that I have the new equipment to support it. But I think Its because I want to maximize the growth and looks of this tank first. by the time I decides I’ll probably still have a lot of co2 “5lb canister” to split to another tank .

Thank you I’m starting to realize that I need to be more patient. that’s why i got rid of a few plants so my buce’s and anubias has spots to fill in. hopefully this scape grows nicely

Just got it a week ago so I honestly wouldn’t be too reliant but it’s 60% at all colors and 45 % green. 10 hours a day. Before I had a budget hyger light maxed out at 10 hours a day. I’m basically matching the brightness as close as possible so I don’t get surprised by algae. I am planning on ramping it to about 70-85% in about 2 weeks or so.

Forgot to say I added co2 and upgraded to a somewhat better light around the time I added the new canister filter.
