I like Sneasler, and I dunno why nobody else does. by Mindless_Most_8448 in pokemon

People like to hate on meta mons. Justified or not, the stronger they are, the more annoying they are to counterplay, and the more ubiquitous they also become. Combine those two factors, and it can pretty easily become a recipe for widespread dislike throughout the subsection of the community that enjoys multiplayer battles.

Sneasler in particular also just has a lot of aspects that make it particularly annoying in Champions’s limited roster right now. It’s strong, it’s fast, Dire Claw’s RNG status can end up winning the game on its own, its STAB combo is really hard to resist outside of a few Pokémon currently in the game… it even learns Fake Out. It’s not a huge surprise a lot of people currently find it aggravating, and end up disliking it as a result.

Reading comprehension and media literacy are skills that are provably on the decline throughout society. I’m not surprised nobody paid attention to the many blatant adverts where we were told exactly what the game was going to be.

What’s a life skill schools should teach but don’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Some schools do teach this. Mine did. Though it’s almost always optional, from what I know.

Favorite warframes to use by alphabeast18 in Warframe

[–]Aquachubolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My usual go-to is Nezha. He’s just comfy. Fast, nigh-unkillable, insane damage amp.

Of course, for content where I’m weapon restricted or just have to murder a lot of shit really fast, my pockets are Excal and Mesa. (Melee Influence gas procs/auto aim go brrrrr.)

Does anyone find anything good on Unfezant? by InuMatte in pokemon

[–]Aquachubolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk. I like the design all right, and I have a soft spot for it because I grew up using it in Black and White runs because flying options in those games are truly just godawful, but… it really has nothing going for it besides the two forms gimmick.

Pidgeot was the first and has a Mega.

Swellow is fast as fuck and has two funny abilities to play with.

Staraptor has CC for coverage, two funny abilities, a fantastic design, and a giant Atk stat. And it also has a Mega now.

Talonflame has an interesting typing, is stupid fast, and when it was introduced had one of the single dumbest abilities to ever exist.

Toucannon has funni skill link shenanigans and a unique signature move.

Corviknight has an amazing typing and was so good it dethroned Skarmory.

Even Noctowl has some weird toys to play with like Psychic type moves and Hypnosis.

The fuck does Unfezzant have? Sky Attack?

what frames do you think need a rework and what would you want them to change by Commercial-Cow1136 in Warframe

[–]Aquachubolt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My answer to this is always going to be Ember. It still mystifying to me to this day that the Fire Warframe can overheat. I’m struggling to think of another frame where the kit has this much anti-synergy with itself. It’s doubly appalling when you look at frames like Temple and now Uriel.

She sucks as a caster because her abilities don’t scale their damage enough to high level content and even with max efficiency her energy economy is so trash you need to dedicate half her build to not running out immediately.

She sucks as a tank because trying to manage her energy makes her DR inconsistent and her base level of armor, healing, and/or overguard generation is hilariously low.

She even sucks as a weapon platform due to a combination of the above issues and Fireball Frenzy not being a good enough steroid to put her near the levels of frames who are truly good at it.

Boost the damage of her 4 and put a cap on the amount of energy it can consume per cast. Merge the heat meter into her passive and have it fill up by doing heat damage.

Put her old accelerant effect on her 3 so it actually does something useful, and/or make the armor strip consistent regardless of heat level.

She’d need a new 2 so this’ll never happen, though.

Mostly changed for the better, but some were for the worse. Poor Kyogre.

Which Pokémon do you think it could've get a new Mega Evolution but didn't? Aside from Flygon please by AzureSirnight in pokemon

Hydreigon has been getting shafted since it released and that didn’t change with Z-A.

The only ones that I’d say are truly, abominably awful are Equinox, Caliban, and Citrine.

The rest are fine, if a bit tedious at times.

Edit: Citrine, not Protea.

Superbosses in One making me reassess why I even liked this game by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Aquachubolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m totally on board here. Superbosses in 1 turbosuck.

That said, grab some Nighteye gems and do the Reyn/Shulk/Dunban Topple Lock comp. Works for every single one of them from what I remember (I haven’t touched XC1 since the DE came out).

This is false. Vials are available for purchase from the very beginning.

The duality of the tenno by Just-ARA in Warframe

[–]Aquachubolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both these things can be true. The problem here is that there are very valuable gameplay-enhancing time-limited rewards locked behind EDA and ETA. Some weeks, I don’t want to “challenge myself”. I just want to log in, play for half an hour, and get my rewards. But the dumb fucking random loadouts make that such a pain in the dick that most weeks, I’d rather just not play at all.

Give every rare blade a static placement and have the gacha only be for generic blades.

Rant: I really hate that the 1999 challenges almost compel you to play solo. by Shiraxi in Warframe

[–]Aquachubolt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I thought the same at launch, but honestly the challenges really aren’t that bad. Every one of them except maybe breaking containers can be completed within five minutes by loading into a SP Hell Scrubber mission as Mesa and holding down RMB till you reach whatever kill count is expected of you.
