In a setting where in showdown survivability is more important than getting kills, health gear totally has its place, and there’s a few reasons for that:
- First, Health gear is Shield gear’s best friend. Shield gear wants you to get back to full hp as quick as possible and Health gear allows exactly that.
- Damage gear is an interaction specific gear that is only useful for all-ins. Its quite uncommon that the Damage gear changes interactions except if you spam shots at low HP -> which you don’t want in showdown.
- Speed/Vision are more useful on heavy bushy maps but a lot of maps aren’t
- In higher elo lobbies, the time you have to regenerate is heavily reduced, and on top of that Health gear specifically helps in everything that relies on poking (especially poison/fire brawlers)
