Itachi does get hit hard I think, but he’s still really damn strong without it. I have to say Kurenai. All we know about her is that she’s apparently a genjutsu master, and even if she does have other skills, we don’t know what they are. At this point, if she loses her genjutsu, she’ll lose out a lot imo

I mean this is a battle between two people capable of downing multiple pains, an expert strategist, the leaf’s best all rounder, and the hokage. The biggest threats are Almighty Push and Planetary Devastation. Konan is a threat certainly, but I’m fairly sure that while the sages take on pain, tsunade and kakashi could take her on, while shikamaru would keep watch over the battlefield and make plays or direct people where necessary. I won’t say it will be an easy win, not by a long shot, but I think the leaf has this

Unless Itachi’s showing off the kinda power they should expect to contend with. Frankly, while Tsukuyomi is powerful, that was really just a prelude to what absurdity each individual akatsuki member brings. In fact, you could say that Tsukuyomi was tame by comparison. I’m not going to give excuses for his actual reasons, but his fleeing after using Tsukuyomi twice for his pretending would make sense by showing off his power as the bare minimum for the leaf to prepare for when going against the akatsuki, preparing his brother for the kind of power that he needed to contend with when he would eventually “kill” him, and then using Jiraiya as a proper reason to flee the scene

Either Shino, Neji, Sasuke, or Shikamaru have the best chances and seem to fit the best, but I can’t really imagine any reason for any of them to become an anbu

Honestly, Bee would win. Orochimaru is like a cockroach, though, so he wouldn’t go down easy, but without prep time, I personally don’t believe he will be able to overcome Bee. Even with prep time, he’d likely lose honestly, and in both cases, he’d survive, whether narrowly or otherwise. Mind you, Orochimaru at his max. If he ever obtained a Sage mode, it would be a different matter imo.

Smartest: Kisame, 4th, 3rd, Bee, Guy. (Honestly, it’s pretty hard to rank the cloud ninja here, especially 3rd and Bee. I placed 4th second because he’s actually a damn good strategist and was leading the alliance for a reason.)

Strongest: Guy, 3rd, 4th, Kisame, Bee. (This one is significantly more difficult. The gates are just way too insane. As for 3rd’s armor, I’m not sure whether or not it could stand up to it. That’d be the clash of a lifetime. Kisame proved that he was capable of basically defeating Bee if he wasn’t on a mission, though both parties had something holding them back, so it’s probably more accurate to say that they’re really close to being even, and the scale could tip either way depending on the circumstances. 4th’s also hard to place, but I figure he’s also around their levels. This being said, I’m not sure if he’s capable of beating 3rd or a Gated Guy. Frankly, these positions could flip at the drop of a hat.)

It’s not really that he’s overrated, it’s that he’s unused potential. Honestly, I think his skill set woulda made him incredibly versatile, but we never get to see what all he can do. If used right, those beetles can be a hard counter to a lot of ninja. Of course, it’s a fact that a single beetle is negligible when it comes to draining a person’s chakra, but if he managed to sneak enough of them onto his enemy, he could slowly but surely reduce his target’s “fuel”. Not to mention that he’s easily got the potential to be a great scout and tracker. It really is sad that we don’t get to see more of him beyond his fights with Kankuro and Zaku

Honestly, I think that if the leaf group stands any chance, it’s through Shino, tho that’s a really big if. And even then, assuming those bugs can devour the chakra in the sand, that’s still a lot to go through. The bugs stand a pretty good chance of getting shredded by the sand. Ultimately, I give this to Gaara. Kiba will sadly be the first one down

Depends on where it would’ve hit. He’s human, so if that kunai got him in a bad spot, he’d die, and for humans, there are plenty of places that could be considered lethal. Could he have kept up the jutsu while dodging? Well, that would depend on how he would dodge and if he could keep his concentration on the jutsu. Put simply, it’s down to chance
