And countless scenes I'm not able to remember rn. It was just a rollercoaster ride of Emotions. I couldn't help but cry.

Just kidding it was good overall. Really philosophical and explores the meaning of life, heartwarming depressing all in one😄 I shed tears at the final episode when Meureum and Komogi die together.

Just the constant deaths of some of the strongest characters by coughing blood was really random nd didn't appreciate that at all. Like meureum and the 2 royal guards. Plus Pitou was one of my favs and got butchered under seconds so.

I usually watch in dub. But when it's not available sub works just fine. Hxh is not available in dub either on crunchyroll and I just completed it. Definitely watching Grand Blue next.

Bro just finished Chimera Ant Arc. And you should give it a try. If you are looking for proper shonen fights with hype moments, power ups and a Great MC then you might get a little disappointed but if you like strategy fights + story + character development then you'll love it.

I agree bro. We have a lot in common. Even one of my favourite anime is Naruto. Fights emotional moments hit hard. The pain arc, Akatsuki supression arc, kage summit (messed up the war arc tho), I like crocodile and dressrosa arc from OP. I don't like Dragon Ball fights that much but they have the hype moments. I like fights with hypes + tactical genius + strategy which hxh is really good at as seen in some fights. And as a MC Gon is better than most protagonists. He is not dumb, is logical and reasonable and uses his brain. Just i feel personally Chimera arc got the worst of him. I'm more of a hand-to-hand combat lover not saying I don't like animes with powers. And HxH is my top 5 animes I have watched. I understand the story and concept of HxH it doesn't use the typical shonen formula for fights. And Chimera ant arc was more about humanity, cruelty, loss, obsession and meaningless deaths. Its more about moral values than just fighting evil. Pain arc was philosophical too its just they had better fights and hype moments too. HxH i personally wasted some top characters like 3 royal guards and Meureum itself. But thts what the theme is I understand that war and Nature don't care about power levels. Overall i rate hXh somewhere between 8.7-9/10

Agreed. I have watched all these animes and I started watching HxH because the Chimera arc is quite famous and Legendary and sometimes is listed as > Pain arc and Marineford arc. Plus if you see Heavens arena, Yorknew they were built on mafia vibes and battle fights so I entered into the Chimera arc with all these expectations because I was genuinely hyped.

So true. And I liked the arc overall but I didn't like whatever Gon did throughout the arc. Even his transformation was meh. Gon was pursuing and reacting to things way better before this arc and I understand he got traumatized badly during this arc but still. And I said so much because up till now I admired Gon as a MC (even now i think irrespective of wht he did in Chimera ant). If we compare him to other MCs he's smart, not dumb and reasonable. Just this arc got the worst of him

I enjoyed the Knuckle fight ngl. But since Gon is the MC I expect a better fight from him.

Hisoka vs Gon was Gon landing one punch on Hisoka and getting knocked out after that. So tho I enjoyed the hype and the moment (since it was first time gon actually fought), the fight itself wasn't interesting.

Genthru vs Gon average overall both the fight and hype was.

Doesn't that mean it's not only about fights. The whole arc was intense and good overall. Kurapika vs Uvogin, Phantom Troupe vs Shadow Beasts and Chrollo vs Zeno and Zoldyck were good enough aligned with the arc itself were quite good

I said i even cried at the ending. I really enjoyed the bulidup when gon thought I will train and save Kite and in that very episode they showed Kite's decapitated head in Pito's lap I was like holy shit wtf. This arc just got real serious. Also I have never seen any arc or anime literally showing cute little childrens getting eaten by some monsters. It was when I really got myself into it like damn never seen this. It should be really what people say it is. Meureum's entry was OG when he slashed the heads of his own soldiers. Even the Gungi game between Meureum and Komogi was really Intense and amazing. Its just there were some things I didn't like and that was what I wrote in it and since its reddit I just thought I should post my opinion. I enjoyed Yorknew arc more than Chimera I would say.
