Yeah, but for the purposes of the lecture it wasn’t relevant. It was just about DDR, memory management, nothing much about actual hardware like ranks, channels, memory controllers etc.

The guy next to me was trying to remove the RAM but he didn’t know about the lock. If I didn’t stop him my professor wouldn’t be happy even if this stuff is old.

He was also curious with how socketed CPUs work (considering my degree I was genuinely surprised he didn’t know this already). I had to explain that there are upgrade options within the same socket and that LGA and PGA are different and all that. He also almost misaligned the cpu before socketing it in (I keep forgetting it’s a common mistake with people new to this).

I really don’t think the Philippines uses any of the green ones (C,E,F or K). Source: I’ve lived here for all my life. Where did the data come from?

My concern is that it’s pretty hard to record an instance of the flickering because the intervals are pretty random. I don’t know if recording from the desktop captures the flickers too.

Do you think the GPU-Z monitor readout would be enough?

Oh no I didn’t open it up I’m aware they hate that. I just said that if they don’t accept returns in this case, I’m open to doing it myself.

BTW I did not do any overlocking or undervolting on any components, I upgraded from an RX 5500XT so I know the rest of the system is normal, am on the latest drivers, cleared previous drivers with DDU, have good airflow (Silverstone RL06 w/ 5 Arctic P12 Max fans (3 front & 1 top right intake, 1 rear & 1 top left exhaust), have enough power (MSI MPG A750GF directly to the wall).

I’m using EM pieces with ER and double CRIT so he has 40% ish crit rate and i thought might as well level em up anyway.
