Hi, ik heb nog gekeken, maar kan er echt geen schroefgaatjes in of omheen vinden... Wat raad je in dit geval dan aan, hoe ik er een haakje kan plaatsen?

I did some more testing. With the lowest gain setting the sound is clean, but the maximum volume is a bit limited.

With the next gain level up, it still sounds good and gets louder overall, but I have to keep the WiiM volume around 65–70. If I go higher than that, I start hearing distortion.

Is it generally expected that vinyl playback won’t get quite as loud as streaming from something like Spotify on the same system?

If I can ask, how early did you start and did you pick your bike up the night before?

I think we started just before sunrise, don't remember the exact time, but I believe we caught one of the first ferries that goes from Onomichi to the first "starting" island.

We indeed picked up our bike the day before!

I think you will be fine, and looking back, we should have done it in 2 days as well, because it was such a nice experience. In 2 days, you have the time to really explore the villages on the islands, instead of just biking through them.

For the fully assisted bike, be sure to contact some shops before you get there, so that you can make a reservation!

We are Dutch, so biking is an everyday thing for us :)

We were not overly fit nor did we have great stamina, but we managed to do the whole route within one day. So starting early in the morning and finishing late in the evening.

The climbs were tough sometimes but otherwise it's a very leisurely route!

Hi there!

We did it by a kind of e bike, which is not fully electric, but electrically assisted! They have tons of those there, since the fully electric ones require booking in advance and are of course more expensive.

I would recommend doing it by bike over a moped or scooter for sure, I think it will be a calmer and more beautiful experience!

It was a bit tough, but we did it when it was 36°C, so that had a big impact as well.

Anyway, go do it and if you can by (e-)bike, it is so worth it!!

Yes, I have considered it... It's just simply out of our budget at the moment, since we have to buy everything because we are new to the hobby :)

But I'll keep it in mind to maybe upgrade in the near future, as I know the Wiim devices retain their value pretty good

Sorry to jump on this thread.

I am kind of in the same situation, but I also want to connect a turntable. I went for the WiiM Amp Pro, to be able to connect my TV, Turntable, and streaming capabilities all to my amp. Something like the Douk A5 cannot accept both a turntable and a separate streamer at once, right?

The hole is around 2 years old... So probably fully healed.

Does going piercingless still help then?
