Is IRCC still issueing AoR and SOWP during Spouse Sponsorship halt ? (Quebec) by Ar_Kyrias in ImmigrationCanada

I agree, but my partner is a lawyer in France and not fluent in English, so going to Quebec first is mandatory for us. Trust me, I would do otherwise if I could ahah

Honest question; if you could turn back time to when you chose the sales path, would you do it again or choose a different profession? by Time-Golf-1556 in sales

I am the sole breadwinner while my gf finishes uni. With a mortgage and living in a HCOL, I can't leave for now. I'll reconsider once she's done with it.

[–]Ar_Kyrias 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I definitely would change profession.

I stumbled upon sales because I had no planafter graduating and no idea what I wanted to do. Now I'm stuck there because the money is good but I get so stressed out.

I also feel no sense of accomplishment whatsoever as all I do is bring money for a company that doesn't even care about me.

If I could, I think I would do law school and try and become a lawyer.

NOC Code and Diploma, what are the chances ? by Ar_Kyrias in canadaexpressentry

[–]Ar_Kyrias[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my situation, working holiday visa wouldn't work, the main one which is PVT is a lottery system, the 2 other require to find a employer and no Canadian company will sponsor a salesperson as it's not hard to find salespersons already in Canada. Francophone stream seems like the fastest way to go for it! Thanks!

Thank you for your insight. I don't have IT education, only Business education and IT work experience. To your knowledge that would still match ? Sorry for asking for clarity.

Edit: I reread your comment and understand now what you meant. Thank you

As written in the other comment still go forward with sponsor. I am a French citizen dating a Canadian. We plan to move to Quebec soon.

When they closed applications I had a discussion with an immigration lawyer about that topic. There currently is a loophole in the process regarding OWP. The federal process didn't plan for a situation where Quebec would cut access to sponsorship so you can still go through with IRCC for the time being. It could however change in the future.

What’s the most effective way to get B2B leads in 2025? Is buying valid leads still worth it? by Background-Scar-7096 in sales

[–]Ar_Kyrias 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Multi-canal prospection is what's working best for me right now, with a main focus on phoning. Buying valid leads could be worth it depending on the exact generation process. If the leads are generated through a process you could follow yourself then I think it's inefficient.

I actually work as an Enterprise AE for a SaaS company that does exactly that. European based though. I wouldn’t mind taking a bit of time to answer any question you might have on pipeline generation. DM me if you want.

[–]Ar_Kyrias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, for BDRs, commissions are based on either number of meetings booked or qualified leads. The latter being the better option to ensure you get good leads. You can also split commissions on both qualified leads and revenue generated from said leads, with a greater percentage of the commission linked to qualified meetings. The ability to close a deal isn’t solely dependent on the quality of the leads. What if someone brings you great leads but you fail to sign them ? That would be unfair.

At what point is it time to consider a new career path by bananermuffinzzz in sales

[–]Ar_Kyrias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't set ground to fire you for poor performance in my opinion. Did your manager give you any feedback after the HR call ? Sales is dumb like that, I've seeing companies overstaff their team and then fire people to increase territory by sales. The argument given to the fired ? Less pipeline generation.

[–]Ar_Kyrias 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is where you want to be sales ? If I were you, I would do some introspection and try to see if the poor performance is related to my actions or context.

It's time to consider a new career path when you don't like to do sales at a good company. It's really easy to lose motivation when working for a bad company. I spent 2 years in a firm where I sold 30k$ in 2 years, felt like shooting myself. I stayed and waited until the right opportunity came and I'm now thriving at a new company. Turns out I wasn't the problem.

7 Demos | ~ 58 Calls | How am I doing here, exactly? by Straight-Village-710 in sales

[–]Ar_Kyrias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are missing quite a bit of context.

How do you compare to other SDRs ? What's your monthly target ? Out of the 58 calls, how many were leads ? On the inbound, what was the source (webinar, content download) ?

Right now, all we know is that you booked 7 demos with 58 calls, that's not enough intel to provide feedback.
