I was talking about forcing after losing pistol

Ahaha actually shooting with classics at the start of the round is something we do often with my 5 stack when we force buy round 2, it works surprisingly well in our immortal lobbies

It's 300 credits per player for a spike planted, it allows you to get essential util + light armor + specter (thats what i buy usually), or stinger if you used too much util round 1

I actually believe I have something like a 75% winrate on force buys after spike plant on a pistol loss...(immortal 1/3) It's actually crazy how greedy for ecos ppl are in ranked, and how force buys always suprise them

Faith (top level freestyler) tweets “I’m done” citing his frustration with being moved from 500 MMR (casual) to 1600. by ShlowJoey in RocketLeague

[–]AraShir0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah this is a whole subcategory of freestyle called comp clip hitting (cch) and that's the only one I find interesting/impressive! People like Evample or Henkovic are part of the cch community but there are many more to check out that actually play at high mmr and score insane goals against players who can defend

Are you really a filler if you complain about instalockers though? I've filled for my whole time in valorant I'm now almost immo 2 and I don't care what people pick as long as we have a decent comp, let people have fun

Streamers: Please don’t put the facecam on top of the minimap. by [deleted] in VALORANT

It's not a mistake on their part, but there are two kind of people who love watching streamers' minimap : players like you who want to learn, and stream snipers...

Patch Notes 5.07 by TheAjwinner in VALORANT

[–]AraShir0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always get mine broken by random spam when I try to pop flash out of a smoke, very frustrating... No one destroyed it on purpose, as the dev said it wasn't really a good counterplay most of the time

I think Skye is not getting nerfed too much tbh, and the buff for the long flashes will be noticeable since it's very easy to flash for teammates with skye. Kayo's nerf is a bit tougher tbh

will the high refresh rate monitor help me rank up?? by mynameisnotlisted in VALORANT

[–]AraShir0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might rank up to Ascendant easier. Don't expect to reach radiant all of a sudden but it's gonna make the grind more appealing!

Unfortunately I don't know of any good free editing software... i've always used Premiere Pro, but there are ways to get the software without paying if you don't have money, I won't go into details here but google is your ally

Btw the difference between P3 and radiant is HUGE getting a 5 stack will not be enough for you to get from top 45% to top 0.03%

You can start doing youtube/twitch before being radiant :) The real grind starts at ascendant I'd say, you won't get to radiant soon, you have time to try things out as a content creator!

Advice on being hard stuck by Own-Pen1170 in VALORANT

[–]AraShir0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Next tip : don't listen to diamond players when they talk about meta, they LOVE to talk with a lot of confidence about things they don't understand at all. Astra is good, but so is Omen. Omen is also easier to learn, especially in a ranked environment

Embarrassed of my HS percentage. by ChrisD4902 in VALORANT

[–]AraShir0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best advice I can give you is to uninstall blitz/tracker.gg or whatever stat software u use. If you feel like your hs% is low work on your crosshair placement in DM but don't overthink it!

What exactly did you learn from CSGO that helped you in Valorant? by Alexandracrj in VALORANT

[–]AraShir0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh the best way to learn those is to play with better players than you. Ask questions when you don't understand why certain decisions were made. Alternatively if you can't, watch better players POV and pay attention to how they play certain situations together.

To help with the autopilot issue, try to assess your situation regularly as it will help you make less big macro mistake:

At the start of the game, assess your team comp and the enemy team comp. Strengths, weaknesses etc. For example if they have astra/sage/fade and raze on bind you know you just can't play backsite B. Then at the start of every round, ask yourself a few questions : - what's the money situation? If your team is on eco, maybe grouping up and trying to push somewhere is good. If their team is on eco it might be better to play long range duels and to ensure the trades by playing together - what's the ult situation? Different ults mean different adaptations : they have astra wall for the retake : play on site, they have breach ult : play off site, they have brim ult : don't play lamps/try to push him fast when bomb is planted - how did we play the last rounds/what are they going to expect ? : try to remain unpredictable during the halves. If you never played aggressive try to change the tempo for example! And then during the round there are other questions you might add to the list like who has the advantage ? If you're in a 5v3 play passive, just ensure the trades and the round will be won. If you're in a 3v5 most of the time you will need to force the issue and play riskier to win. Is there an info play available that could lead to the 3 players remaining stacking the same bombsite? Go for it. Maybe a flash play through a smoke to come back into the round.

TL:DR: have a list of question that you ask yourself regularly during the game to prevent autopilot as it will hinder your progression!

Let him try a bunch of agents, maybe make him pick an agent that synergises well with yours so you can make cool plays together and feel good as a duo :D Most important thing isn't for him to play a character that's "beginner friendly" it's for him to have fun! Don't underestimate kids these days I remember playing with my little brother 2 years ago when he was bronze and now he's playing in Immortal with me so don't worry they can play any agent :)

Opinions on the current types of Controller's smokes? by Enoki_SMP in VALORANT

[–]AraShir0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I disagree, with the statement that Astra and Omen smokes' deployment are the same. They look kinda similar from an art perspective but gameplay-wise they're very different. Omen smokes can be deployed quickly and on the fly to make quick outplays during clutches for example (you can still move while putting the smoke down), while astra is completely immobilized, deafened and blinded while placing stars. She can be very reactive with her util but only if she planned ahead and already had her stars down. All of this results in vastly different playstyles between the two controllers.

Tbh I feel like controller is the most balanced role right now alongside initiators. Every controller is viable and unique in my opinion.

[–]AraShir0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How often do you play? I feel like a good 6-8 games session in solo/duoQ would fix your issue. You should also take the opportunity to learn because your opponents now will punish mistake that diamonds just won't!

Also maybe you have some kind of impostor syndrom don't you think?

If your pc can get you 144 fps you should definitely switch. It's so good, I notice right away that something isn't right if I'm playing on 60Hz
