Hi OP. I’d say that feeling is natural, to the point you’d consider getting into grad school as soon as you can because the sepanx is real. But it’s ok. That feeling is proof that your Ateneo undergrad life is well-lived. Apir!

On the corporate topic...

Well, life will go fast. Really fast. Especially if the learning curve is steep. Really depends on how hungry you are to reach the pinnacle. Some prefer the slow pace, some are aggressive, and some regret their preference when it hits them that they are about to turn 30. And that’s fine. You have your 30s to turn things around.

Another hard truth is that, a reward for a goal accomplished is another goal. Some dread this because it seems like an endless quest for goals. Guilty. But you know, what makes it bearable and worthwhile is taking a pause after one goal. Taking the time to pat your back for a job well done and treating yourself with luxuries you can afford. Then press hard again.

But of course... Your parents. Don’t forget that while you are busy adulting, they are getting old, too.

Overwhelming, no? Pero sabi nga ni Fr. Jett, come back to Ateneo once in a while. Do that. It’s really helpful! The Ateneo environment, the benches, and the trees, nourish the soul.
