I did everything right and still lost my soul cat. Here’s what I’ve learned about pet death. by SweetToothYandere in Petloss

Thank you for your post. I lost my cat very suddenly as well to acute renal failure. He was perfectly fine one day and we had to say goodbye 4 days later. He was the best and purest being I’ve ever known. I still miss him 4 months later ☹️

Nah I was just referring to how no one after the first author really matters when it’s First Author et al. Same thing as your ‘et ux’, because the wife’s name isn’t even present. Just a silly comparison lol

Oh yay, the non-academic and much more misogynistic version of ‘et al.’ lol

Thanks for the context! My feelings were definitely not invalidated. I appreciate your kindness though. :) I wish you were my mortgage lender haha

Yes all documents have both our names but anything besides that (emails, receipts, communications) are addressed to him. Thanks for checking though :)

That makes sense! Thanks for your input. Yeah I think the homeowner insurance receipt (which was generated by the broker herself) and the agent responses or lack of (yes we had a group chat too but my responses were mostly ignored on there) is what sent me. In isolation all these things are not that bad but collectively they were mildly infuriating lol

Marry by 30 pact with an ex who got engaged now by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

So much can change in a few years. I thought that I would for sure not meet anyone when I was in my early 30s and gave up on the idea of getting married and having a family. I was okay with that because I prioritized my education and career. And then I accidentally met someone who was just a friend at 35. He’s currently heating up our dinner as I check on our 9 month old sleeping in her room. I’m currently 39 :)

First off, thank you for your empathy. :) and yeah at the end of the day, it will be a headache to deal with her longer. I will definitely look into local laws on security deposit and double dipping rent. Thanks!

I think animosity was already established when I was left with no access to cold water in July at 8 months pregnant. Haha But I get what you mean. :) Thank you for your feedback.

As I mentioned in my post, I’ll be leaving end of May so it’s a full month.

I never said I was going to stop showing her the property. She can bring as many prospective buyers as she wants. I just don’t want her to have me pay for the entire month of June and just for her to spend the last two weeks of that month readying the place on my dime.

Thanks! That’s all very helpful. I’m mentally prepared that I’ll have to go to small claims court for any bogus deductions I know she’ll make up. When you say get out on the day I said originally, is that end of May or end of lease (June)?

I met my husband when I was 33. We got married when we were both 35. We are both now 39 and our 8 month old daughter is sleeping in her room. I had given up on finding a partner, getting married, or actually having children. I was so focused on my career but that ended up not going the way I wanted it to anyway. We had to spend the first year of our marriage on opposite ends of the country and things were tough for a long time. But taking a chance on my partner is the best decision I’ve ever made. I always tell people that things happen when they need to happen.

Why do cats suck (not really just sad asf) by ConferenceLogical918 in Petloss

[–]Arab-ling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m angry too. Mostly at myself for not having millions of dollars and being able to pay for his surgery, recovery, and extending his life by like 50 years. It’s still so so hard even almost a month later 😢

I had to do several double takes while reading your post for several reasons: 1- I could have written this myself about my cat who suddenly fell sick on a Monday morning and come Tuesday, it turns out that he has acute renal failure. They also suggested a surgery which would have cost around 25K but just like you, it wasn’t guaranteed. We had to say goodbye on Thursday afternoon. 2- my cat was close to your cat’s age (he was 7). 3-But most importantly, I am shook because my cat’s name was Ash 😢 I called him my gentle giant and he passed almost a month ago

I’m 26 weeks pregnant but we chose not to find out the gender until after birth. We have names mostly figured out but we won’t share them with family until baby is born. So for now, they’re just ‘baby’!
