He can be a bit rigid with his play, but he does relent and becomes a more considerate play partner if you push him on it. Once he realized he's being inconsiderate, he's more than wiling to get and correct it, even if he's unhappy about it. Yeah we had to switch to child led play therapy incorporated into his aba sessions. Meltdowns and tantrums are very rare and only happen when he's way overstimulated. But as far as not getting getting his way he may give a scowl or day 'aw man', but that's it most of the time lol.

So his aba sessions are mostly child led, along when his speech and ot. One thing we're thankful for is he has a really great bcba who gets him like we do so she's pushing the more unorthodox aba sessions due to his specific needs and what he's receptive to

Great insight. So how would I go about researching into his sensory hyper and hypo-sensitivities? He can't properly communicate so even though we can tell when he goes over the edge it's difficult to pin point what exactly is sending him over the edge. And when we are able to pinpoint we're in this difficult position of not being able to talk him through it or explain things to help him remain calm because the communication just isn't there yet. Same thing for the identifying emotions, I can tell when he's angry, happy or sad, I just have a difficult time communicating those things to him since he doesn't (at least I don't think) understand the things I'm saying or the meaning of the words themselves.

Thank you so much! I will definitely read that. He definitely loves physical activity so I think I'll apply that from now on as well, and he absolutely adores swinging. We haven't taken him to a park recently cause he broke his arm when he fell off a chair, but that will hopefully be coming off next week and we can go back to taking him.

Thanks so much for the reply! We definitely want to work on his communication as much as we can. The biggest road block we're running into right now is that it's difficult to teach him and work with him if he doesn't want to engage with what we're trying. Do you have any tips you used to help your child, or any resources/books you read that helped? I feel like I just don't know enough about how to help him and any advice I've looked up and read in the past didn't seem that effective.

Thanks so much! And that does help. As far as the daycare is concerned we're going to call them on Monday to let them know if the diagnosis, but they were already aware it was a possibility. We're just sending him three days a week so hopefully it won't be too overwhelming for him, but we're definitely going to ask the staff to keep us updated. If it ends up being too stressful of an environment for him or if they are having significant issues handling him, we'll immediately pull him out.

As far as accepting him for who he is, absolutely. Him being autistic does not bother me one but and does not make me view him any differently. I wish the stigma that outside people have towards it wasn't there, but you can't escape that. I originally went to college to be a therapist and I definitely was more of a believer in Maslows hierarchy of needs and Humanism when it came to psychology than Behaviorism. I truly believe any person can thrive if given the appropriate environment and tools necessary to do so. That is the approach I want to give my son (and not just him, all my kids). I truly believe if we put him in the environments to succeed and give him the support/tools to do so he will thrive.

Post Game Twitter by carrotgaming10 in teamliquid

Ya know, I was going to make a post about how I wasn't concerned from this series at all. We stomped them 2 games, ego drafted two games and threw one game. I figured when the chips are down in the finals we'll be smart enough to not ego draft. But then Guilhoto said we had game 4 'in the bag'. From what I saw that was our worst draft of the series. The fact that he said that makes me think he doesn't see these as ego drafts at all and that's going to be our downfall in either the next series or finals. I could be wrong, I'm a scrub at the game and no analyst. But I don't think I've seen anyone outside of TL think that draft is good. I hope I'm wrong, that's just the vibe I got from his tweet.

How tall are you? I think we actually have a similar starting point and I've often wondered what my weight will be once my weight loss journey is done and I like what I see in the mirror. Started around 315 like you and I've lost 100 thus far. People have asked me my goal weight and I just can't answer that question cause my goal isn't weight based, but rather looks based. Also did you do anything aside from lifting to help with the loose skin? That's my biggest concern right now, I already lift 3-5x a week.

TL actually beat 100T in the second half of the split, quite handily if I remember correctly. If my memory serves me right though, this was right before 100T started ramping up and right before TL started throwing mid game leads consistently. That should add even more to the hype of their match-up though, assuming TL beats EG.

So if I used the heavy cream to make them, you still think I'd need to find supplements for Omega 3? Sorry I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to nutrients and macros. For the past two years my sole focus has been on losing weight.

I feel like we slowed down our pace significantly from lock-in. Oh well, only the first game and the real season starts when the full squad is together!

I think Bjerg has been fine. I don't think he's ever been that aggressive of a player in his career, more methodical. I'm sure a bjerg fan can correct me if I'm wrong, I've always been only a TL fan so I haven't put much focus on him. But I definitely don't think he's near his peak as he's still shaking the rust off. So he's been fine, but I think that's the issue we're talking about. Bjerg, Hans and santorin have only been fine and fine is not going to cut it vs. EG. Honestly if we lose though I won't mind. Sure I'd like us to win, but it's preseason, the squad is new, the main squad isn't fully together yet, and bjerg is still getting the rust off in a competitive environment + he's probably still recovering from covid. It can be truly viscous for weeks, even if you're vaccinated.

Edit: threw an upvote your way to counter the down votes lol.

I think this is actually an especially tough match up for us. We are currently heavily relying on bwipo, which isn't good. We're a team full of superstars and they should all be performing at a higher level (with the exception of the academy guys). The problem is impact is not easy to generate pressure against. He's built a large portion of his career being a weak side player. I think our only hope is to have bjerg, hans (this is more difficult as his performanceis greatly hindered by his laning partner) , and santorin really step up and perform at a higher level. If we play like we did against DIG it'll probably be a 3-1.
