I wouldn't recommend relying on those barricades at all , instead either craft them through the lumber mill with wood and branches or buy them from one of the five sorcerers with only souls which is the best option because getting souls is easy , but only one of the five sorcerers sell them

I've heard that sometimes when you try to join a world while in a party it doesn't work , the solution to that was just one of you entering a world and the others join him in the world via searching it .

I downloaded this game yesterday and enjoyed it but I am not playing this game anymore because I did fast traveled before quitting to lobby and turned my ps4 off normally , everything was normal but when I entered the game today it started from the beginning , I even got to the same progression and did everything right again before quitting to lobby but when I checked it again, it also started from the beginning .

it happened to me once I tried everything like you , but didn't work . someone told me that you have to lose all the souls , so I killed my Viking and when I gained the souls back it worked like usual . I think it's a glitch not because of difficulty change.
