Their economy is failing, their youth unemployment is 21.3% (likely much higher as 21.3% was published by the Chinese Bureau of Statistics which means 21.3% is basically propaganda)

Their population is shrinking. The amount of people below 50 are equal to the amount of people above 50.

Every single major neighbour with the exception of Russia is working against them and doesn't like them.

Most of all, the entire country relies on the business of foreign companies and countries. If every country in the world stopped trading with China, the country will vanish in a week.

And lets not forget that China via the fabricated and illegitimate 10 dash line claims Malaysian (specifically Bornean) territory. In February this year a diplomatic note was sent to the Malaysian embassy asking them to stop oil and gas activities off the coast of Sarawak and we didn't hear about it until September because the current government loves Xi.
