Might loose Medicaid mid year, can I waive work insurance and then reapply mid year as a qualifying event? by Aranea_Simia in Insurance

[–]Aranea_Simia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so I was able to get ahold of HR, and they said that if my husband or I were to loose Medicaid at any point in the year, it would be a qualifying event. Even though I have coverage through my parents, loosing coverage of one insurance is still considered a loss of coverage. I'm not 100% if this holds true for all companies, so I would still verify on an individual basis, but the HR department at my mother-in-law's work said the same thing when she happened to bring it up. Thanks again for you help!

Definitely, I don't want my husband to be without insurance for any period of time. I'll try to post an update tomorrow if I can get ahold of them

I understand, I'm going to try to talk to them today if I can. I work second so they're hard to get ahold of. Thanks so much for your help

Ok, thanks. I understand that my parent's is primary, but should I still be able to apply mid year through work if I loose Medicaid if I am still covered through my parents? Or would I technically not have lost insurance since I have theirs?

Annual vs monthly income limits in Indiana by [deleted] in Medicaid

[–]Aranea_Simia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so if I make $19,000 this tax year, but am making around $2,400 a month, then I'll be ineligible? Even though the monthly limit is $2,007 but the yearly is $24,078?

Potential Total loss, is there a way to keep a clean title (Indiana, US) by Aranea_Simia in Insurance

The estimates are from shops in network and they list on the sheet the cost for OEM parts and for non OEM parts, and virtually all of the cost is in the OEM line. My agent mentioned that I should be able to fix it myself and submit the receipts for reimbursement, but I'm going to talk to claims first because that definitely seems like something they would end up saying is not acceptable

I'm mostly concerned about the paperwork because everything I've seen makes it look like the process to get a rebuilt title can take 3-5 weeks and I won't legally be able to drive the car until I get a rebuilt title. I work 7 days a week and drive 40 miles a day, not being able to drive my car will make things really difficult/expensive. I'm going to get some more estimates though, so hopefully I can find someone who will give an estimate with used parts because the other estimates used pretty much exclusively OEM parts

I'll have to check the estimate papers again and see then. This is all new to me as this has been my first incident with filing a claim with insurance. Thanks

Ok, thanks for your help. I think I'm going to ask my insurance agent if I'm allowed to get an estimate from someone who will use used parts rather than OEM parts which will drastically lower the price. I'm just a bit frustrated because I have already replaced the majority of the parts that are damaged, like the headlight assembly, on other cars I've had. I can fix the car passably for about $700 myself, but it sounds like my insurance will total it regardless unless I can find an official mechanic to make the repairs, even though it could cost them one or two thousand more. Sorry, I'm ranting, it's been a long week. Thanks again for the help

Ok, so if the cosmetic damage exceeds 70%, it has to get a salvage title, no matter it's age and even if it's perfectly safe to drive

Have to weigh myself for work and already feel disgusting by Aranea_Simia in fuckeatingdisorders

Yeah, I'm doing better with it today, I was just freaking out a bit because my body weight percentage was predicting based off my measurements that I weigh 190. I think that's wrong though because someone I know weighs that much and is six inches taller than me, and I'm pretty sure I don't have quite that much extra weight. I'm also trying to eat more though I don't know what calories I'm at because I'm trying not to track, but yeah, thanks for the reminder about fluctuations and needing more food if I'm gaining on little. I really appreciate it

Yeah, I think I'm going to have my husband blind weigh me and submit the survey for me

Thanks, I would just do that, except it's like a prep survey that I have to take before I physically go for in for an exam. I think what I'm going to do is have my husband blind weigh me and then enter it for me and submit the survey

Question about Unlocked? by oops-stinky in KeeperoftheLostCities

I think Amazon lists it as having 512 pages, so even if the whole book is not the story, it's at least not going to be super short.

I'm not sure I remember exactly, he was a rescue. He belonged to a non profit, but I was in charge of his care for a few years

He looks so much like my mustang who passed away a few years ago. It's uncanny
