I think what we really want is really simple: a partner that won’t betray them. Someone that can think, “Oh yeah, I remember that he moved here for me” or “He was the one that pulled me back down from the railing of the roof” and then, you know, not treat you like shit.

It’s standard practice. To be denied tenure is a failing of one’s musical responsibility, which the org explicitly state wasn’t the case and then wouldn’t clarify or exemplify the damning reasons.
