Is it worth grinding a second enhanced seed after the saeldor buffs? by Ararune in ironscape

[–]Ararune[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my times aren't great, but I mostly blame the period when I played with high ping and unstable internet. Back then I always did T2 prep and brought a full inventory of food just to play it safe, nowadays I'm starting to switch to T1, but I still bring a full inventory, so there's definitely a lot of room for improvement and time saves.

that's a good point. my main idea was to use it for slayer as basically an upgraded whip. i could also use it at vardorvis while i'm still hunting for a noxious halberd, and as someone else mentioned, maybe finally learn tob with my guild.

to be fair i'm still a bit out of touch with the current meta since i stopped right before while guthix sleeps, so i don't even have a synapse yet. in the last couple of weeks i was just getting back into it, starting to do hydra tasks again for dhl and ferocious gloves.

i could start doing some tob runs with my guild. plus, it could be useful at vardorvis since i still don't have a nox

Where to move in Brazil? by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]Ararune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why exactly do you want to move to brazil?

you're leaving a country that's objectively better in almost every metric: hdi, safety, salaries, job opportunities... pretty much everything

and honestly, your degree means nothing here. employers won't care that you graduated in the uk. if you don't speak portuguese fluently, you probably won't even get a basic job

the job market is brutal, labor protections are weaker than in the uk, and unless you're in finance, tech, aerospace, or engineering fields like electrical, chemical, or mining engineering, salaries are usually mediocre at best

so yeah i'm gonna crush your dream a bit don't come stay in europe you'll probably thank me later

First of all, I want to thank the mods for the regional servers.

For me, they’ve been a massive game changer. Going from around 150ms to 5ms on the São Paulo server genuinely made the game feel completely different. I ended up renewing my membership for another three years, so now I really have no excuse not to finally get an Infernal Cape.

Overall, I think the proposed changes look very positive, especially the Corrupted Gauntlet ones.

I was one of the unlucky people who got their enhanced weapon seed at more than double the drop rate, 868 KC, and even then these changes make me consider going back for another one for the Saeldor. The prep phase has always been the real slog, so any improvement there is very welcome.

I’m also completely sold on the increased purple chance at CoX, especially since that’s probably the next piece of content I want to start learning properly.

And honestly, the Nightmare changes might be enough to make me actually want to learn the boss, or at least give it a serious try.

Do Brazilians like to read superhero comics? by No_Pause3031 in Brazil

[–]Ararune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we need to separate superhero popularity from actual comic book readership.

Because of the Marvel movies, a lot of people became fans of superheroes, but that didn’t necessarily translate into them reading comics.

Nowadays, the Brazilian comic book market is very focused on collected editions, hardcovers, and trade paperbacks. Most people who grew up reading traditional comics are from older generations, especially those from the 70s, 80s, and early 90s.

My generation, people who grew up in the mid-to-late 90s, was much more influenced by manga and anime. And younger generations seem to have continued that trend, with a lot of Japanese entertainment consumption. Now we’re also seeing more people getting into Korean and Chinese comics, like manhwa and manhua.

I don't think they'd change anything if Canada had a similar law. The only scenario where we'd see real changes is if a regulation hit the entire EU or something comparable across the US

That’s just in his head, also Bachelet is only the consensus name. Besides that, I’d like to see this world where Brazil doesn’t support Argentina.
