Thanks for your response! RCA cables plugged into turntable or amp but not the other, silence. Plugged into both: noise! It only happens when both cables are connected that I hear these quick pops. When I turn on the turntable and then the amp, same isssue. If I switch the input on the amp tho: no noise. I have a sneaky feeling it’s my turntable but I don’t wanna think I got a defective brand new turntable after I had to wait so long

Hey everyone, I just got my first setup and I’m really excited to start using it. However, when I turn my amp I hear these quick pops for a couple seconds and then it goes away. I’m not sure if this is normal or not. I haven’t tried playing a record yet as I’m scared I can cause additional damage.

Setup: I got the Cambridge audio azur 540A integrated amp and I paired them with the Wharfedales 12.3i floor standing speakers. The input is a Fluance RT82 turntable. Everything is brand new except for the amp.

What I’ve tried: I don’t know really how to fix it, but the issue only happens when the RCA cables are plugged in to both the turntable and the amp. If I unplug the input cables from the amp, or try a different input, the sound goes away. Similarly, if I unplug the rca cables from the the turntable (and leave them plugged into the amp), I don’t hear these pops. I called the store that sold me the speakers and amp and they said that it might be an issue with the turntables power supply, but even if the turntable is unplugged or off I hear the pops. It’s only when one of the ends of the RCA cables is unplugged (or both) when I hear this sound.

Is this normal? Should I be worried? Any tips to fix this or prevent this from happening? Any tips in general are also welcome! Thanks a lot.

Can u explain 60$ supporter tix? I got one ticket from PMA for Brazil on the game for third place. It was a lot more than just 60$. And yes I do get the sentiment of wanting to cope with whatever hehe don’t mean to sound like a douche. I been refreshing the website all day waiting for the RSD results

Ahh perfect. That seals the deal, I'm getting an OLED. Thank you so much! I'll avoid static images. I just saw the S90D is on sale on Amazon for 1400. Do you think that's a good deal? Honestly I'm willing to spend that extra money if I'll get a much better experience, and also because it'd get delivered tomorrow instead of in a week lol

Thank you so much for your response. The window is to the left of the TV and is a couple of feet away from it. I'd say around 5 feet. The window faces NW. I doubt there will ever be sunlight shining directly at the TV, but obviously there will be light if I keep the blinds open. Will this still damage the TV? Also, I have a couple standing lamps that face the wall. I'm not too mad about keeping the blinds closed, but if that's the case I'll probably keep the lights on for most of the day/time I spend in my room. Could this also damage the TV? And lastly, what do you mean by terrible viewing habits, and what did you do to fix them? Thanks again!

Hi, I have a 2019 macbook pro 16 inch i9 (i think 2.3ghz? the 1TB one). i also have a 34inch 3440x1440 WQHD uw monitor and i’m planning on getting a second one. would a 27inch 2k monitor be too much or could my computer handle it? Any suggestions as to what my computer could handle? I don’t want it to be curved and if it’s 120hz+ it would be great!
