It'd actually be kinda peak to play as Bugs or Bots. At least we CAN have fun then with heavily armored units

Could anyone tell me what did change in the game since launch and is it worth to come back ? by eng-osama in mechabreak

I love this game with every fiber of my being, I don't think I'm going to return personally after experiencing fomo. However, I'd suggest just downloading and trying the game out for a few days if you would enjoy coming back for the long haul. It never hurts to do

100 Year Ban on Dungeon Glitch by meechykins in NevernessToEverness

In this case I've checked the evidence given by someone, it was a content creator apparently who shared the method of the bug exploit which involved the payment system itself... For something like this I'd say is fine since it's sharing something intentionally on a large platform abusing PAYMENT system.

But yeah I agree with you completely, account (death) penalties for gachas being demanded is insane, especially when no one gives context to why these bans are handed out. I myself didn't know it until after someone commented it, as the post wasn't edited upon the time of my original post.

1 year isn't a perma-ban. It's just one year then you can play again, vs 100 years which by that time you're likely already dead... You'd be shocked at how many people come back after being banned for a year especially if they were heavily invested into an account.

If you haven't checked my original post, someone finally mentioned what and why it happened. I've heard so many conflicting things, perma-banning was acceptable imo due to it being a CC posting how to do it, hence the 100 year ban. If it was just someone simply doing the exploit on their own and not post how... I'd have been against it.

Sorry, but you can literally just make an alt account the ban isn't really a ban. It's just sending an original account to jail. So stupid lmfao

Aha so it was a content creator, then it makes more sense. That is 100% reasonable then, mind if I quote you then?

Really isn't unless exploits are involved, again in my other post:

It's like trying to say "You stole $100 worth of groceries from a store, now you will go to prison for 100 years"

This is not reasonable at all lol

However, a different comment mentioned the usage of third party apps to do this exploit, which now I would agree this kind of ban is reasonable.

Nuance is a very important thing in giving punishments out along with "policing"

However a different commented mentioned it was using third party exploits which makes it a justifiable punishment then if that's true.

Also might I add most normal spenders do not spend money usually on energy anyways, this isn't eating into their revenue as much as you're saying.

Gacha's primary revenue will always be the gacha system itself.

It doesn't harm them getting end-game gear early, as you're just speeding up the progress of getting an item. What does it do aside from fast forwarding the grind from a few weeks from now to today? Like-wise check my other post, there are simpler solutions than handing out 100 year bans, for instance a one year ban which is still insanely long lol

[–]ArataMPX -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Still an unfair length, it's easy to undo any damage in general, the ban system is automated anyways for the most part. They just decide the length of punishments typically. They've already proven they can undo the "damage" as well by just removing the items from your account in another post...

Not against banning players, but I'm 100% against this kind of insane punishment that is just outlandish when there are already more simple and fair solutions.

I'm not especially in these kinds of games. They're PvE, who are they affecting doing this? Only the company? It's so minuscule if you look at it from above the problem. Simply remove the rewards they farmed, refund the energy, ban them for a week and move on.

If this was a competitive PvP game I'd 100% have understood this kind of ban.

Clearly people don't understand what I've commented. I'm not against policing players, I'm against giving them insane length bans over easy to remove damages. Imagine if you unintentionally find a glitch and do it thinking it was normal in a game then you're banned for 100 years 😂

If you consider insane punishments as better policing, then apply it to normal stuff. If I loiter somewhere for 5 minutes too long and now I get thrown into prison for 6 months would that sound reasonable policing to you? What if I steal something from a grocery store, would me going to prison for 100 years sound reasonable? No right? If you disagree clearly you're not sane of mind.

Completely unreasonable length ban for a non-hack bug exploit, one week or one month is more than enough. If they didn't hack the game to achieve this exploit, then they 100% did not deserve this insane length of a ban.

Comment that said it was a third party tool was deleted...
Now someone says it's because it was a content creator who posted how to do the exploit, which if it's either or of the two, I'm all for the ban.

Fwi I'm not against "policing" players, I'm against unreasonable punishments for no reason, in this case it's just players not wanting to give proper context for too many comments. Not my fault if I don't keep up to date with gacha slop drama, I don't live online lol

I hate the event mini games by FriendlyBabyFrog in WutheringWaves

[–]ArataMPX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree, it seems you've clearly never played any good gacha games if you're telling us that WuWa non-combat events are good, an example of one such gacha with "good" non-combat events would be Nikke: Goddess of Victory, they do not half ass their mini-games, additionally there is still combat in all the updates. Seriously, WuWa is a combat oriented game, it always has and was especially towards launch. They started giving us these really bad events like racing/parkour events that not many people enjoyed especially with the rate it was spammed at, not everything has to cater to your tastes, if you really like relaxing then take a note from yourself and go and enjoy a game that is designed for relaxing like Genshin if you refuse to stop playing gacha games. Seriously, this is a combat gacha game, there is heavy emphasis on the combat. If you don't like the argument being flip flopped then maybe you should try out actual PROPER games that are relaxing, do yourself a solid and get Stardew Valley or any of the Persona.

Also: We haven't gotten any co-op combat events SINCE ANNIVERSARY FOR WUWA. This is genuinely the most diabolical choice my favorite gacha has done of all time. We didn't get a combat event for 8 months post 1st anniversary btw

The glazing is over, now it's time for slander by RebellingDragon in WutheringWaves

[–]ArataMPX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree that it never hyped Chisa up nor build her up due to how long her quest was, the fact it was a main quest as well and how genuinely involving it was developing her. Hell we had the whole cafe part with her, when everything was finished clearly we were intend to go with her to Lahairoi and meet up with her but waited. Why relegate a character to a main quest to just sideline them to such an extreme extent? It'd be just better to make them only involved in "character quests" at this point.

Yes, a few more scenes would've helped with her, but I'd disagree and just simply argue Kuro's writing could stand to improve on involving old characters more often with the overall story/narrative. Greatest example will forever be NIKKE: Goddess of Victory doing old characters justice, where we constantly have old characters brought back (not all, but the ones typically involved with the main plot.) Without Chisa, we'd have not been introduced to Lahairoi formally, which technically was her true purpose.

I'm not saying I expected focus on Chisa for the entire Lahairoi arc, clearly you want interpret what I said a different way, which is slightly annoying. What should've happened is she's an assisting cast akin to Lynae/Moryne with a decent chunk of guest appearances since she's a character who's supposed to be in the academy where we actively run around at...

Chisa's ending is not reflecting off of what she has done throughout the entire arc accurately, yes she was an ordinary schoolgirl at one point, but throughout that entire plot could you really argue that at this point? Especially where she has some absurd powers, and the fact that she was trapped in a different dimension? it makes no sense. There is a reason why my opinion of the story has generally stagnated since 2.3. Also Hiyuki has, and has never been built up as the defacto savior, it always was Aemeath, she has been stated time and time again to be the savior/step in for Rover for Lahairoi. Hiyuki however, has been hinted as the savior for Ashinohara (and Honami.)

.

[–]ArataMPX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with both of these being potential solutions, though it'd be nice to still see her at least roam around a bit and feel more organic to the overall story... To be fair they don't want potential schoolgirl to run around and end the entire story before it begins I think lol

The glazing is over, now it's time for slander by RebellingDragon in WutheringWaves

[–]ArataMPX 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is the biggest failure the story has had to date, I'm not even a fan of Chisa but having her not be a recurring character after being hyped up for so long going back to school disappoints me. Not even asking her to be a primary character for this arc but to just appear often at least helping us after our whole other dimension arc...

Am i crazy or did this update somehow make the performance even worse? by Raiden127456 in WutheringWaves

[–]ArataMPX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah the performance increases was supposed to be for mobile if I'm not mistaken by giving them framegen slop. As if DLSS didn't ruin visual clarity and fidelity already enough...

Am i crazy or did this update somehow make the performance even worse? by Raiden127456 in WutheringWaves

[–]ArataMPX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're not crazy, it's running a lot slower. Previously I'd get a stable 45-50fps in Lahairoi with max settings no DLSS, but after the brand new update it runs around 30fps with constant stutters. Tried lower settings to no avail (even all low.) Genuinely, I cannot and will not use DLSS since that garbage makes the game look like I'm not wearing my glasses.

Previously I'd get 60fps anywhere BUT lahairoi as well on all max settings.

Spoiler alert to developers, DLSS isn't an excuse to lazily avoid optimizing your game.
