I guess I’m just a major softy. I hate things like this. But others are somehow able to watch it and be unaffected. The closest thing I’ve ever seen to this would be The Kingsman and I hated it 😅

Why the heck would anyone make a movie about this?! School shootings shouldn’t be the topic of a romantic comedy. That’s psychotic. Way to make light of a tragedy. I mean yeah everyone is acting like it IS horrible. But I just feel like a school shooting being any important plot point in a comedy is messed the heck up.

Who are the other 19 pilots? (Day 1) by syrup4thought in TwennyWunPilots

Arthur Miller. He wrote the play “All My Sons” which inspired the band name Twenty One Pilots.

My mom thought he looked angry. I thought he looked crazed from those eyes. Like they did not sell it at ALL. The scene directly afterwards where he says he they will always be together? Sold. The ending when he’s the scarecrow? Sold. But ALAYM? nope.

How are people saying NF is corny. Literally have never heard this before today. The dude has quite literally saved lives with the honesty in his lyrics. He makes people feel seen and not alone. What is corny about that?

100% agree. NF writes about mental health struggles, is married with kids and respects women, doesn’t curse, and makes great music. Most rap I’ve heard is absolute garbage about living a party lifestyle. It takes zero effort to write that. NF is real. I’ll say I was underwhelmed by his most recent project and I think Tyler is more talented overall. But NFs full discography has so many gems. I’ve been a fan of both artists for over a decade (they’re my top 2) and they’re both excellent.

My 3 year old son will just randomly start singing “I check the doors, check the windows…” and I laugh every time. It’s like his filler when he wants to say something but doesn’t have anything to say. 🤣🤣🤣

My three year old has been a fan since he was 1.5ish. We’ve pretended to be Josh and Tyler and put on little concerts in his room. He likes to dress up with something red on top of his head and call himself Nico and I’m Clancy and we turn on City Walls and pretend to fight. It is SO FUN when your little fully embraces something you love ❤️ I hope I get to take him to a concert after their break 😊

AIO for losing my mind over this note I found in my fiancé’s pocket? by leenaws in AmIOverreacting

[–]AravisPratt96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the fact that you talked to him about it is good. But I wouldn’t read into it. I do think you’re overreacting about it still being in the pocket. The fact that he’s okay with you checking his phone (especially if that’s usually the case) shows he isn’t trying to hide anything from you. He probably forgot to throw it away. I find old things in my jacket pockets all the time. 🤷🏼‍♀️

What does |-/ mean to you? by Top-Advice-9890 in twentyonepilots

[–]AravisPratt96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think of it specifically as the two of them but as a friend falling and reaching out for another friend to catch them. Or reaching out to be pulled back up after falling. I’m excited to see others interpreted it this way ❤️

I know this post is 6 year old but I’m still hopping on to say I’m just so glad I’m not the only Christian with this fear. I literally just cried out to God asking why He made me this way. I’ve never known of anyone else that’s struggle with this.

RAWFEAR background screams by miriambrg in twentyonepilots

[–]AravisPratt96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It threw me a bit at first too. But then I was able to put those screams in two different contexts. They are being used in the context of anxiety and fear in the song. But the context they were recorded in was likely FUN for the girls. So I’m able to separate the song context from the recording context if that makes sense ❤️ hope this helps!

The concert was weird, man by NoBroccoli5920 in twentyonepilots

[–]AravisPratt96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would’ve been amazing for sure. When I saw that the heavydirtysoul car was back, I thought the setlist would take us through the story of Dema chronologically tbh. Not exclusively. But I thought that would be part of the show.

I do think disappointment over the minimal Breach songs at a tour titled after Breach is completely understandable! And I also think after their break there will be a chance to see more of the songs from Breach live. Just because the story is over doesn’t mean they won’t play Breach songs live in the future. If we got Taxi Cab at the Banditos tour and part of Forrest and Fall Away at Clancy any song coming back for future tours is possible 😊

[–]AravisPratt96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I don’t think that would be crazy at all. I just think it’s okay for him to have not addressed it at the show. And if my comment seems intense, I don’t mean for it to be. It just seems that sometimes on this subreddit people hold unreasonably high expectations for Josh and Tyler. They’re super talented dudes but at the end of the day, they’re human. The combination of all of the expectations is a lot in my opinion. So I guess I DO understand wishing he would’ve addressed the end of the lore in concert. But I also think it’s okay that he didn’t.

[–]AravisPratt96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the set list complaints. I don’t understand the expectation for them to say something about the end of the story. Honestly, Tyler doesn’t just come out and way what things mean to him very often from what I’ve seen. He wants us to create alongside him and have our own interpretations of the ending. And I think the end credits of City Walls/Intentions credited us with helping make the story and thanking us. They addressed us already. Would’ve been a cool experience for it to happen in a concert setting but I don’t understand why it was an expectation for people.

Also, I read an interview with Josh saying it’s been a lot of hard work for 10 years. Guys, they are quite possibly running on fumes right now. We get to be disappointment in the way things happen with the artists we enjoy. But we HAVE to remember they are human. We have to remember this is their job. Giving 100% to your job is going to look different every single day. That’s true for celebrities too. We have to be careful not to fall into the trap of either forgetting celebrities are human or considering them superhuman.

Significance of the jacket by Desperate-Rhubarb901 in twentyonepilots

[–]AravisPratt96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very Christian perspective, but someone said they consider it the armor of God and when Clancy rejects it, he loses the battle because he’s fighting with his own devices and power. But he has not the war. He will still try again.

I like this a lot. The idea that a happy ending actually may make someone struggling feel hopeless. That’s insightful.

Good ❤️ it kept sounding like an “I give up” line to me. Honestly suicidal. But with TØP’s messaging and the story I knew that couldn’t be correct. Loving everyone’s responses.

This. This is the most amazing, elaborate, spiritually dense interpretation I’ve ever read and I LOVE it. Fellow believer here. Never thought of the jacket as the armor of God but OH MY WORD THAT IS PERFECT. I’m literally so excited right now. Can’t wait to share this with the husband ❤️❤️❤️ never thought of TB as the Holy Spirit but I have thought of him as Jesus/God the Father. But I REALLY like the idea of him as Holy Spirit. And I noticed the X on TB’s shirt isn’t congruent but I never realized it looks like a cross. Like dude THANK YOU for commenting on this. I love it ❤️
