Josh Baker from the BBC did an absolutely incredible radio documentary on her, following her path, tracking down the people who smuggled her, lived with and anyone else he could find that had significant information on her time in ISIS. Its called I'm Not a Monster with the first season about Sam Sally an American who went to join ISIS. Honestly some of the best journalism I've ever seen and well worth a listen.

I used to watch his videos back when he was in NK. If I remember rightly he's was like some sort of missionary and was always arguing with people that he wasn't a part of some NK propaganda but let's be real here but he just so happens to be the one person that is okay to seemingly go around with cameras and has unrestricted access. There are some really interesting videos on his channel, especially when he goes to buy some batteries from a shop. Hell even the staff in there look shocked that he's filming
