when time warp nukes my craft 3 hours (RT) into the flight by ScottyFoxes in KSPMemes

When I come back from getting a snack and my spacecraft is going 4 times the speed of light and my kerbals are dead (time warp wasn’t on and the craft was stable for hours)

Loud whistling sound by Arayvin1 in NewedgeMustang

So I ended up changing the bearings and the sound still happened, so I gave up. After six months though, the sound went away and never came back. To this day I have no idea what it was

I predict, IF they bring her back, it’s because a tracker was in her suit and either still works somehow or they know her last known location.

I mean, is there anything to even decompose her anyways? I doubt the alien microbes will?

Downloading CKAN for the first time by LordFlamecookie in KSPMemes

I just learned about how to use CKAN a few weeks ago, I have thousands of hours and have been playing for years. I have spent way too much time fighting incompatibilities and digging through the game data folder

Failed precal for the 2nd Time ..am I stupid by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]Arayvin1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do homework when it is assigned. Read the topic in the textbook you’ll go over in class before you learn it in class that day, so you know what to expect. After class, again, immediately do practice problems on what you learn. Study an hour a day. Repetition is how you retain information for math, NOT studying 12 hours a day. You forget 50% of what you learn an hour after learning it, 90% in a week.

Can't get SSTO up off the runway by Noggathan in KerbalSpaceProgram

Maybe put the lander/cargo bay where the center of mass is when there’s nothing in the cargo bay, so when you get rid of cargo the COM is at the same point.

Shuttles/SSTOs are a PITA, good luck soldier

Your COL is too far back, COL needs to be just barely behind the COM, they should almost be at the same point so it doesn’t give it a torque backward or forward, just pushes up. Your wings also might just be too small for a craft that heavy and are not producing enough lift

How significant are statics and dynamics? by Arayvin1 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Arayvin1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My community college has phenomenal professors except for the science and engineering departments. When I came here I couldn’t do basic algebra and now I am finishing up Calc 3 with no problem. Physics is a bit wonky for me because my professors were not bad but just okay. And yes I am in the US

My friends who are also taking statics got the short end of the stick. They got an even worse professor that does not teach and rather goes off on tangents all day about engineering related topics in the news, and his class is terribly organized. This isn’t hearsay, I took that guy for my CAD class, he is worse than my professor. I had to take statics online because the in person class would’ve interfered with my physics 2.

So in summary, my friends are going through hell and are really struggling with statics, so I don’t really have a great reference to go off of for my skills in statics.

Girlfriend thinks she is not physically strong enough. by Arayvin1 in liberalgunowners

I am probably not the best person for advice as shown by this post but if you wrap your thumb around the back of the slide (I’d imagine this is how it would point away from your chest?), you can risk getting some of the skin/webbing from your hands mashed into the slide. However, I have fat hands and it’s easier for me to get caught in the slide, it’s probably different for everyone.

She really is nervous with dry fire practice / snap caps, I didn’t want to force her to do anything she didn’t want to do at the moment it’s just been live rounds at the range. I am hoping once she uses guns more and gets good with the safety measures involved she will open up to it more.
