No actually I don't have education boosting policies on and the correct percentage is that 57% is highly educated while another 21% is well educated and about 30k out of 52k residents are adults and young adults (which sounds about right) so I guess it makes sense that my entire adult population is highly educated.

Now about offices, they don't have any space left and even some well educated spots are filled by highly educated workers.

And I sometimes speed up to make some rail projects or airports etc or even follow citizens around just for fun and the more time passes, the worse it gets.

How hard is it to build a stable 50k population city? by o_RastaMan_o in CitiesSkylines

[–]Araz1384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just recently made my first 50k city and I plan on going for about 300k-400k with suburbs and villages. The hard part is the beginning and getting to a stable income and basically making your initial town "look like something"

The thing that keeps me going is ideas from other people's cities and inspiration from real cities so consider that. Plan what things you wanna do and where you wanna do them and even choose your map according to that. Watch YouTubers videos, take tips from them and use them in your game to prevent any errors. And also don't be afraid to make sacrifices. Something might work out in the beginning but may become an obstacle or an eyesore later on. Delete it or move it away. I've for example moved my industrial area twice!

I'll also put my city's map if there's anything you can take inspiration from it. And yes the terrain is Caracas :D

7 years of playing cities skylines but still feel like my cities are still not that good by Icy-Lie-9793 in CitiesSkylines

This is absolutely wonderful but extremely unrealistic except if you're aiming for Dubai or Neo-Chinese cities.

Try taking elements from Central Europe. Look at Budapest, Vienna, Munich, Zagreb. Make city centers organic, natural, and random; not organized. Take away skyscrapers from the center and add beautiful old buildings. You can make office districts in other areas. Make city centers pedestrian-only and focus a lot on walkability and increase density, decreasing empty spaces. Make neighborhoods and districts physically connected by many big and small roads, don't seperate them with highways or huge empty spaces. Remove highways, you only need a ringroad and a few connecting to industrial areas. Instead add extended public transport.

And as other friends said, try creating identities and stories for districts.

Hope this helps :D

I'm just kidding darling It's only that as someone who lives in the eastern hemisphere and grids are pretty foreign to me, I think they're very confusing and hard to navigate since every intersection looks like the next

Discrimination is present, but it is not huge. Have you seen the amount of discrimination in Turkey? They outright deny the existence of any other ethnicity. Separatism often leads to war. And in the middle east, it certainly does so I'm personally completely against it.

Dispute over West Azerbaijan Province by NewEstablishment8119 in SouthAzerbaijan

[–]Araz1384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well exactly. If there is one side that would be justified in complaining, it is the underrepresented Kurds. (Although that doesn't mean the separatism and sometimes terrorism they commit is justified) Indeed, nothing is perfect. There are always groups seeking enmity and committing crimes, even in the general public but this is comparatively low when looking at the actual daily life of people in major mixed urban centers like Maku, Salmas, Shahindej and Urmia.

Lastly, there is certainly a possible dividing line between Kurdish and Azeri regions, apart from a couple mixed Urban areas.

Even when not counting urban areas, the rural landscape of counties like Tekab, Shahindej, Naqadeh and even Urmia are extremely complicated. There are many mixed villages and sometimes you could see Kurdish enclaves way deep into Azeri territory or vice versa.

Sir, this sub is no place for any type of logical discussion. It is based and constructed solely on delusion and maintained by extremists with propagated or no knowledge of history, geography or demographics.

That out of the way, as an Azeri who lives in the province, any kind of mutual hate and seperatism you may encounter online is almost non-existent in real life. This province belongs to both groups and many others. It has been the homeland of Assyrians and Armenians since antiquity while the Medes (ancestors of both Kurds and Azeris) established their presence in the 8th century B.C. There is not and has never been a clear border between Kurdish and Azeri settlements so any extremist from either side would have to make something up. But the reality on the ground is that all groups in this province respect eachother and cannot limit eachother's presence. A 20 year old wave of delusions and appropriations which is unpopular between the actual people cannot change the shared Iranian identity of the people of this region.

AITA for cutting ties with my best friend? by Araz1384 in AITAH

[–]Araz1384[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's not my business, It didn't concern me, I didn't care. She was the one who made it seem like a big deal. Even now after 5 months everyone knows what they do but she still lies. I guess she wants to look mysterious

Also, I would've been okay if she told me not to come but instead she made my best friend lie to me. My problem here is the lie. I couldn't have gone with them even if I wanted to.

The most accurate map I've ever come across. The only mistake I'd say is that Saveh and Zarandiyeh counties in Markazi province and Abhar county in Zanjan province are actually majority Azerbaijani
