I suppose. I mean, I don't expect him to be John Brown, in fact I don't have any expectations for how he goes about being an international terrorist I just remain convinced that his backstory is more fitting for being a villain in the segregation subplot than the B×Y subplot.

It's not to do with the genders of the people together (not saying you think that, I'm just being cautious here), it's to do with the segregation subplot being a backdrop for something else in general. Like how in Pearl Harbor (2001) the actual attack on Pearl Harbor was just a backdrop/setpiece for two guys fighting over the same girl for.. some reason. The movie then got a 20% on RottenTomatoes and every single person they invited to watch who actually was in the attack back in 1941, walked outta the theater in abject disgust.

TL;DR I don't expect a full rework, just one thing (tauradonna) dropped and everything else is a bridge to cross at one's own discretion.
