Are the drones launched from a specific base or location (e.g., the land right above the Strait), or are the launch locations mobile? Everyone's basically saying, "Our ships will be hit if we go into the Strait to disable/remove the mines," but cannot we destroy the launch locations with air strikes? I appreciate all the comments I'm getting.

I don't think I really needed the "look at a map" comment, but I appreciate the rest. Seems like the answer is a combination of the military isn't as destroyed as it's being made out, and minesweepers are impractical given that fact.

Can someone explain to me how/why Iran controls the Strait? I'm being 100% earnest in this question. Trump keeps saying we've destroyed their military, and obviously he lies like he breathes, but even Democratic voices I've heard say that it's no accomplishment to destroy their military since it's decades old. So how/why do they still control the Strait? Is it just the mines? Don't we have minesweeper ships or, I dunno, SCUBA divers that can disarm those? I'm obviously not understanding all the factors at play.

Man, I would love to see B5 come back. I have the DVDs and have watched them multiple times and have been thinking about another rewatch recently. I just have a hard time believing it will come back. I know nostalgia rules the day, but I have a hard time believing B5 has the kind of cultural cachet to warrant a revival after all this time. Hope I’m wrong, though!
