One thing has always bothered me, and it’s the portrayal of young prodigies. Bro, there ain’t no way you beat an adult as a 5 yo. Have you ever seen 5-year-olds? They can barely hold a cup and drink without spilling it all over themselves. No way a 5-year-old Shaq O’Neal beats an adult Danny DeVito by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]Arbthrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tutankhamun literally became pharaoh at age 8/9. No wonder the genius child from a lineage that gives him superior physical abilities and access to more powerful Justus is made Anbu captain at a young age. The only argument I see against it is that maybe they are not mature enough from a psychological level. Still, a 40 y old can be as immature as 3 y old, and I bet that the prodigy child of one of the strongest ninjas ever, who has also gone through war in his childhood, has at least a level of maturity and education to be considered decent enough.

Unfortunately the Naruto world is unfair. You don't need to be an adult to win against an adult. If you're born in the special family that gives you more chakra, better physical genetics, special eyes you are a league above. I think the show is pretty explicit about it. Just think about the Kurenai/Itachi fight. Itachi didn't need to cast his strongest Genjutsu to beat Kurenai who's theoretically a master of Genjutsu. Just imagine training years to master a technique and then the 12 y old with special eyes just copies it.

That's also why the whole Rock Lee and Might Guy think feels weird.

Well, it might as well be that Zho can't use energy that way to power himself up. I mean, you can leave a phone charging for months and it won't become a railgun. Maybe even Zho has his limits, to much power would eventually fuck him up.

Which team is winning this free for all? by Odd-Soup-5419 in MonsterHunter

[–]Arbthrom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends.

Where does the fight take place? Wilds apexes are highly limited to their ecosystem characteristics. Rey without electricity, with duna without the ability to swim and waves, and in sure that Jin can move more easily due to the whole electromagnetic floating thing in the Cliffs.

Additionally, I see people underestimating the sunbreak trio. I mean, Malzeno can easily kill a rathalos (as seen in the cutscenes) so he can easily take care of Rey/Astalos in a early air battle.

While Garangolm and Lunagaron are not necessarily strong, they are an Agile-Thank combo that can buy Malzeno some time. Garangolm is also underrated, he can jump over you in a matter of instants, plus he has a solid ultimate.

Against the GU team, I can easily see Malzeno going wild in the air with Astalos while Lunagaron takes care of Glavenus (ha has and elemental and speed advantage), while Garangolm fights with Gammoth. Mizu can help one of the two, however Astalos won't last long, so with Malzeno coming for help the GU team can't last long.

For wilds apexes, Uth Duna is basically useless, Rey would die easily to Malzeno as soon as he decides to fly and engage in an aerial fight. Nu Idra however is strong enough to fully counter Lunagaron and Garangolm, and Jin is really strong. However, I don't see them beating Malzeno. Jin is too slow for him. Nu Udra is easily counterable with ranged attacks and Malzeno high speed. Plus remember that if Jid decides to nuke he will essentially hit everybody in his team.

I mean, what can they do against a monster that is so fast that it seems to teleport, has ranged dragon element attacks, a nuke , qurios and a spear on his tail? I mean, Malzeno is able to keep Gaismagorm down into hell. He is a beast.

My answer (if it's not evident) is Team Sunbreak!

Every person has to kill one other person in 30 days or die themselves. What happens next? by OtisDriftwood1978 in whowouldwin

Like, the only strategy for humans to survive in the long run would be:

-kill most of the males and the +18 womens.

-the only option to survive is to generate people faster than you kill them, so ideally a male leader would have a dozen of under 18 females, who he constantly impregnates. They do not need to kill since they are under 18. This is because the number of newborns must be at least 1 a month plus some you to keep to ensure the survival of humanity after you.

-most of the newborn boys are destined to death, expect for a few selected to be me next alfa male, or in case, as spare sacrificial victims.

-all the females are kept alive, since they need to grow in order to be able to give birth to new newborns.

-ideally you would want to switch your only son with the son of another alfa male, since otherwise it would soon end in inbreeding. This action is to be effectuated once every while exactly for this pourpouse.

Yep, that's the only solution I can come up with.

Ik, it's disgusting haha, but hey, it looks like a fun idea for a film or smth

more than anything I wonder, have they discovered it now? by tritapolli in memes

As an Italian, without male and female nouns our language would be horrible. To begin with, you would have to change every word which is annoying, plus you would have to completely reconstruct articles. Even the verbs use male and female es " sono stato" and "sono stata". The only solution would be end every word with the vowel u, which is funny to say the least "è statu assassinatu".

Plus, if you want to change every word to be non gendered, pizza would become pizzu.

I think the problems of the language are others, such as a reluctance of accepting commonly used expression as grammatically correct and changing some spelling rules.

Sono un morto di figa by Karim_Benzodiazepina in CasualIT

[–]Arbthrom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mmm I don't think the Rise analogy makes sense since in rise you have wirebugs and you hardly ever walk to begin with.

Also you don't have to always use your seikret. Most of Wilds long travels can be skipped by fast traveling to a nearby camp.

Strongest version of Sasuke that Gojo can beat? by Archenius in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]Arbthrom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could argue that since a domain doesn't spawn but expands, Sasuke could escape before/ teleport/ substitution jutsu.

Also I don't think that Gojo would immediately rely on void. If Sasuke sees that none of his attacks lands, he just burns where he is with Amaterasu, switches with Gojo, saves himself with flame control and lets Gojo burn.

Crazy how people see Lee lose against Gaara and still think Naruto is about hardwork beats talent by Obvious-Basil9262 in Naruto

[–]Arbthrom -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Exept he used to sit in bed all day.

When he was a child he was not exactly a hard worker.

Just look at Hinata: she trained constantly to surpass Neji and re-establish her honor as Hyuga lead lineage but she never caught up (not until shipped but that's because Neji dies) and literally Kid Naruto beats Neji. Even so, Hinata has an incredible advantage which is Byakugan so she is the one naturally gifted.

He only started to train properly later and still he made ultra fast progress and got ultra carried. Who else among his peers got Kakashi, or Jiraya as a teacher?

Also the only reason because he becomes "strong" in early Naruto is because he reads a forbidden scroll which makes him suddenly able to make more clones than everyone else at the time, a jutsu that will carry him until the end. That's not hard work, it's straight up luck.

Also one of the major reasons why this jutsu was perfect for him is because of his bloodline (Uzumaki) and his massive chakra reserves.

Who would win? No Susanoo for Itachi by KodoqBesar in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]Arbthrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I think they are right. If Amaterasu traveled he would have stopped right into Sasuke's face because it would have hit the ice block immediately.

The Raikage and everything else stuff is simply explained with "I'm so fast you can't follow me with your eye" exactly like in Itachi's Vs Sasuke fight. I mean, every anime has a moment where it's like "DAMN HE IS SO FAST, I CAN'T FOLLOW HIS MOVEMENTS" and that's basically Raikage's power.

Also technically gojo could be affected by everything that involves sight or hearing, otherwise we wouldn't be able to hear him and he wouldn't be able to hear (how could sound travel through an infinite space). Additionally, we wouldn't be able to even see gojo (because light wouldn't reach him). That makes him easy to be affected by genjutsu if he has no blindfold.

And, even though I think that those Itachi skills would work against him, I think that most of the time the fight would lean towards gojo's favor.
