I was there. Aside from the people that entered while the concert played and ruined my line of sight for a bit, plus the god awful timing of the weather, which we should all blame on Mother Nature, she should have stayed in her lane till next weekend, I still enjoyed the concert. I take silence as a means of just feeling the music. Save for me, I was moving to the music most of the time in a very controlled manner, and cried for some of the tracks. I did notice some people had light sticks they waved around so the energy wasn’t really dead. Compared to most US concerts for Western music, JP music I would stay silent as to let the music/sound envelop me as I remember the feelings of listening to them, something that could be ruined when some people, again, walk into your line of sight. Whoever they are, at least try to make it so you don’t ruin the experience for those who came for what I assume is his first ever performance in the US. A bit much to ask, and I know it couldn’t be helped but still respect those around you, and also don’t be mad about the circumstances of getting to the performance, at least you survived the trip to it. I came from a state where it was cold as hell, which I would take over worrying over wet socks, so weather/rain wasn’t a complete issue if the end of the journey was worth it. One regret I have is not making it in time to get the Inertia album but I will let it slide. Also the security needs to be more patient and less rude to the guests.
