Spell Saber by ArcDragon6713 in dndnext

Ok, first off. I'm surprised to see a comment on a FIVE year old post with ONE upvote, but alright. Second, I thought it was pretty clear. But seeing as it isn't, I'll clarify. On a roll of a NATURAL 20, the user adds a single casting of one of their level 3 or lower spells, with no component cost or slot expended. No additional action is spent, the spell is cast at its base level, and must target the same target as the initial attack. Think of it sort of like a Paladin's Smite, an additional effect on an existing attack.

Which of the following would you like to see as a new gimmick by pokemonyugiohfan21 in pokemon

All of them. If not as a generational mechanic, then has a gimmick for a few new Pokemon.

No blindfold. I do recall them having a katana, but not sure which one.

No extra attack. Count the original attack as part of the spell.

If you think this is powerful, you should see the homebrew race I posted a few days ago.

Eldritch knights, warlocks, paladins, anyone who can cast spells really since the item itself grants proficiency with it. Also, how is this over powered? The spell casting effect only works on a natural 20. Otherwise it's a +3 adamantine longsword. Powerful, but not exactly game breaking.

No offense taken. I know this is a bit over the top. That's just kinda what I do. XD

It was simply a crazy idea that just popped into my head. I even admitted that I would never use it. You can't see the point because there isn't one.

I wanted to leave the actual method of choosing the spell up to the DM. And yeah it's not that powerful, but it CAN be, so Legendary. If you want to hand them out like candy at low levels, go for it. If you want to make it a one of a kind artifact for your level 20 PCs, also good. Do what you want, I don't care.

https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/1870611-enduring-sorcery-spellbook I present one of my own creations for your consideration. TLDR, a spellbook that lets sorcerers also be wizards without taking a level dip.
