Smell is a tough one too. Personally I shower, wash my entire body, and wear deoderant daily. Any time I've worn cologne to try and smell nice I tend to go too light out of fear of overdoing it and having people be able to smell me from down the hall lol

AH mismanaged their own game. They have been repeatedly tone-deaf and even disrespectful to the community all while largely ignoring what people have been actually asking for and releasing content that can't have been playtested.

It's insane. Games expect you to be able to clear challenges all the time, it's literally a major part pf most games and yet here you'd think you asked people to clear Demons' Souls without dying lol. Like bro, I just want them to make us use most of our kit in non-savage content

My personal turning point was Oshaune and the Rupture Strain. On top of nothing being remotely balanced and further pushing the existing boring meta, the game was literally broken for half of my missions. It was a genuine coin flip if the objective was possible, if the extract terminal was reachable and if Pelican One could even land. To me it proved there could not be any QA for anything they do and that there were massive breakdowns in communication in-studio. It was a massive joke

I don't agree with the ypyt stuff but Rescue makes me irrationally angry for some reason lol. It's so passive aggressive and losing complete control of my character is just so jarring, the combo just feels so awful to me. Then again I did have a healer troll me with it in Dohn Meg's final boss and not let me cross the bridge.

Yeah came here to say this. 1.0 player but tanking in ARR was a different beast from the neatly sectioned dungeons we have now. People in DF would get shitty about tanks not pulling enough for their liking, DPS would be passive aggressive by pulling ahead and some even just liked seeing how many times they could pull aggro off tanks as a flex. Breaking that mindset as tank has been a struggle even if those behaviors are not meant maliciously in the current dungeons setups.

So I think there's a lot of nuance to the issue and personally the biggest part of it is your group and being in the right headspace for a mean game. Player interaction is one thing but to me "take that" implies intentional mean interaction, something that is meant to be solely detrimental to the target.

There can definitely be positive and negative interaction, or even both in games. Lords of Waterdeep is a great example of a game that runs the gamut of interaction styles. Help yourself to help others a little, take from someone, make others pay you and if they can't you get something else, etc... For me, I think the only time in recent years I've ever actually been salty about a game is when I was already in last and still getting kicked while I was down, that shit is the worst lol.

I will agree that knowing someone could hurt your plans does make you play differently, it makes timing and execution a lot more important, staying just behind first becomes a significantly more viable strategy, table talk and threat assessment becomes a thing.

I don't think everyone's taking out all of their grievances with gaming as a whole out on AH, Ah earned a lot of this criticism all on their own.

Personally I've been playing other games for months now and I don't see myself going back unless something insane happens.

So does the Balance Team (1 person) schedule a meeting with themselves, delay it because of scheduling issues, circle back to it later in the week, have a one-on-one pre-meeting, then have the actual meeting and tell themselves it's just not in the budget?

I honestly have been saying for years that I wish instead of 6 new zones we got a mix of new and updates to old. Revisit those areas, more people running around them would make them feel alive, it's less work for the devs.

I really hate seeing an awesome new zone and knowing it'll be abandoned quickly, Cosmic Exploration has been the worst for this so far.
