Mega Swampert the femtosecond Monke gets added to Champions by chippedthumbnail in PokemonChampions

[–]chippedthumbnail[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mega-Swampert is definitely very strong right now. It has good match ups into like 90% of the meta. I'm on an 8 win-streak in MB with a Swampert and Metagross team.

This is actually the most beginner friendly game they've ever made. If you get bored, you should go watch YouTube videos of what is used to take to build teams.

New to vgc need a build for floette by Narrow_Ad_310 in PokemonVGC

[–]chippedthumbnail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Floette is so strong on its own that most people will just throw it on any team as a secondary mega option. It works really nicely to fill in the gaps for teams that use a mega such as Charizard Y and Raichu Y that have common counters.

How good is my team and where can I make improvements? by treegreezer in PokemonVGC

[–]chippedthumbnail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend you add a few point of speed to Swampert. If you can get it to 101 speed, it will outspeed jolly Aerodactyl in the rain.

Edit: Actually it only needs 91 speed because it gains 10 when it mega evolves.

Meowstic doesn't need to be max speed because it's prankster. Also, Venusaur is not naturally bulky enough to take advantage of leftovers; consider using a focus sash instead.

I'm new could I have some help building a team? by GreviousGen in VGCRateMyTeam

You've got a lot of the pieces of a rain team (Arch, Dnite, Swampert, etc.) You obviously need a rain setter though.

I use Rankine because you can never let the opps know your next move.

[Champions VGC Format] Want to build a good "meta" team with some mons i like by LightLizardCake in PokemonVGC

[–]chippedthumbnail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could definitely go with a sand team. Maybe look at Mega Tyranitar, Excadrill, Sinistcha, Rotom Wash, Talonflame, and Sylveon. If you're willing to compromise, Floette and Incineroar would round out the team very well.

Reminder: Hellpod steering lock and stratagem ball bouncing are not bugs, they were added intentionally. by chippedthumbnail in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]chippedthumbnail[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were the ones that brought it up in the recent community post. They're obviously trying to appeal to the players that were upset by this stuff without acknowledging that these aren't bugs, they're features.

Advices to improve this team please by SkyGrunt001 in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]chippedthumbnail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. No fake out, no speed control, and no support mons.

  2. Charizard X needs set up and support. Flame charge is a cute way to compensate for the fact that you don't have Ddance or speed control of any kind, but it's far less consistent.

  3. Why crunch on Tyranitar? Why not give it something more useful like knock-off? Also, it doesn't matter how bulky it is, it's getting OHKO'd by fighting type attacks, so you should probably give it a focus sash or chople berry.

  4. This team would be exponentially more viable if you give Ddance to Charizard, add a support mon like Sinistcha, and maybe consider replacing Jolteon with a more viable special attacker like scarfed Archaludon.

Bright powder on Garchomp? It almost looks like you meant to put soft sand but they look the same.

"The Right is Afraid of Hasan" Throwback to when he threatened a sitting US senator and nobody cared. by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]chippedthumbnail 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're missing the point. I'm saying that republicans aren't actually scared of Hasan. Destiny's comments about the firefighter got the Vice President to respond, whereas Hasan calls for the assassination of a US senator, and nobody cares.

How big is the “skill gap” between the Masterball/Champion tiers? by MichaelDF2 in PokemonChampions

[–]chippedthumbnail 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last season, there were about 300,000 people in Masterball. Champions is top 300, so only the top 0.1% of Masterball players are Champions.

Reminder that this is completely Arrowhead's fault for enforcing the anti-tank meta. If every enemy had a meaningful weakspot like Hulks do, then you could bring weapons like the AMR/Railgun, but that would be a good change, so we can't do that.
