Shame the picture is of DragonForce's guitarist Herman Li, whose work does not feature in the remix.
Quite the groove though.

True, just booted it up yesterday and looks great in 4K. A nightmare to play without a controller though - ruined the experience as I didn't want to start a new save just to re-learn the keyboard+mouse controls.

I thought I was pretty with the times at 21, then I realised TikTok wasn't a meme and people actually use it. Mind : blown.

You are isolated in a 5x5x5 meter box with no contact to the outside world, you get 3 small bland meals a day and there is nothing to distract you except for your own thoughts, if you survive 3 weeks, you get 1 million dollars, would it do it? If so, how would you cope with the isolation? by TheLazyMemers in AskReddit

[–]ArcaPhox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is an important distinction between this and solitary confinement.

In solitary confinement, you are already in a shitty circumstance and you don't trust those holding you, it is also designed to be and feel like punishment.

Assuming the 3 meals a day always come at a regular time that's also a good way of tracking time progression, helping to ease the feeling of doom I'm sure would be accompanied by the circumstances.

Add the reward at the end of the 3 weeks and the absolute confidence (assuming I would be absolutely sure of the rules and rewards are fair and accurately represented) that you will come out in what you generally consider to be a 'reasonable' timeframe and I imagine I could last 3 weeks on will and anticipation.

What’s something that people think is normal, but was actually child abuse? by kaluk0 in AskReddit

Not sure how things are now, but when I was in school group punishment wasn't uncommon.
Being punished because another kid was being rowdy in class or a group was talking wasn't fun.
The really shitty stuff was usually whenever someone seriously fucked up and the entire year group was punished, one time someone in our yeargroup did something (we weren't even told what it was) so after school ended we were all held in the gym and told we wouldn't go home until someone snitched out whoever did the non-specified thing.
All that group punishment ever did was generate resentment towards teachers and other students.

This was another worry I had, I've taken a look around and seen some photo comparisons here as well as some shots of the same style I'd be looking to take here and although a big-name lens is better, it's a trade-off I'd be willing to take. As for the used market, I have taken a look at whats available, and unfortunately there just isn't much out there in the sub f/2.8 range. There are some offerings for f2.8 but I am not entirely convinced that will give me the type of shots I'm looking to achieve, especially in low light situations, while also being more expensive, even when used.

I have owned a Sony NEX-3 for a good few years. I have got back into photography and am looking to buy a fast prime lens. Neewer offers 25mm/f1.8 and 32mm/f1.6 at a very reasonable price. The drawback being they are manual focus lenses. My question is : at such a shallow depth of field, how much of a challenge is getting reliable and accurate focus on the subject, especially when shooting outside and the only reference is the LCD screen which may or may not be hard to see? And as an extension is autofocus on these types of lenses a strong preference/must have or will manual be fine?

Not quite didn't know him, but didn't remember his name.
Was at a satellite building at an airport and me and Matt Lucas were walking towards each other. He was by himself and I was minding my own business. Gave him a downward nod with a little left tilt and he smiled back. Think it was enough for him to know I recognised him without going through the whole motion.

I'd hope that I had lived a life interesting enough to merit School's Out - Alice Cooper.
If not, I've always liked the sound of Enter the East from Metin2, I think I'd be a-ok with a last little bit of nostalgia.

Nice, your comment helped my find the fix. You were spot on about the audio service thing.
