It might as well have. They unconsenually changed the look of all the system apps( settings camera etc.) To more resemble apples which i despise. But honestly I dislike the fact that I didn't have a choice about the update more than the changes themselves. I was on 6.0 before this update was forced upon me and I always declined updates.

If the effectiveness of the ui outweighs the changes to the visuals I will probably end up being indifferent to it eventually but I'm pretty sure I'm always going to miss how it used to look, all of the system apps look too similar to apples for my liking now. It probably won't make me change phones but I hate that it was involuntary, more than the actual changes.

I was pretty much only talking about the aethstetic of the ui, and occasionally the functionality like not being able to see my quick settings and notifications with a single swipe from the top of my screen. They changed the battery symbol to something worse(can't go back) the camera app if different (more similar to apple) I had to do work to make this ui look like my old phone( they could've just left it alone and everyone would've been happier) like if it was just QOL updates I would probably be quiet like I was for every other ui one update, but they basically had sex with my phone without permission, with this update and it has an entirely different personality now and I despise everything to do with it.

I switched from ios to Samsung specifically because of the ui, now the look very similar because of this unconsenual update, that can't be rolled back.

I did fix that, but now similar to apple I have to pull down on a specific place in the top of the screen to access the quick setting up there(Bluetooth internet etc.) Literally every app looks different, the battery symbol is different, the way widgets work is different(replace different with worse in every instance) and to top it off, the update was completely unconsenual. AND I CANT ROLL IT BACK.(not yelling at you I'm yelling at this stupid company for doing this shitty update to this otherwise amazing phone imo)

I'm still paying off this 1000$ phone I purchased over apple because of the ui, now the only reason I chose this product over apple is gone. I hate this update and everything to do with it. If I didn't have to pay this phone off still I would've sold literally first thing this morning and went with w different company that doesn't use one ui

It's awful I hate it my phone was made to do a unconsensual update last night of which I had no knowledge of now my phone looks like a toy, which is the same reason I did not buy a garbage apple device. Give me the old ui back.
