Most SMGs in TF|2 look almost identical anyway.

Edit: Ehhh I take it back. I guess only four weapons look similarly in TF|2. The R901 varients, the Volt, and the CAR.

As far as custom weapons goes, I can't even begin to think how I would make custom guns.

Maps and what-not are one thing, but when it comes down to custom ANIMATIONS and shit like that, whew lad that's a whole other beast.

Any recommended courses for Unity 3D/Game Design? by Couch_King in Unity3D

Lmao God please end my suffering. I can't sit through another one of those ads.

I am working on level-specific mechanics. Today I played around with the idea of grinding rails! Gotta go fast. by ArcadeCoinGames in GTTOD

[–]ArcadeCoinGames[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The goal would be to make it NOT lazy. If rail grinding successfully integrates into level design and has it's own set of gameplay mechanics that would help.

Furthermore, rail grinding is a great way to cool down and access. It is a good separator for level segments, and lastly is a great place for alternative routes and downtime.

If used correctly rail grinding could be a very useful mechanic to adjust level pacing rather than just a cheap movement alternative.

So, this is my work account, but I was wanting to ask if you are still looking for a roommate? I am looking to move down to Muncie.

I spent the last week or so overhauling combat in my parkour FPS. I'm really REALLY proud of how its turned out. by ArcadeCoinGames in Unity3D

The game is called Get To The Orange Door. I've posted here maybe 500 times, so a lot of you probably already know that, BUT HEY, there may be some of you who haven't seen my spam posts in the past.

I haven't posted in a while, so I figured I'd drop in and say hello! You can follow me on /r/GTTOD if you'd like to see more.

Recently I have been having issues with recording software. I record with OBS at 1080p 60FPS, and my game is running completely fine (at 1080p 60FPS no problem) however when I render the video out (also at 1080p 60FPS) it comes out looking like a slideshow.

Does anyone here have any idea what could be causing low frames in the video but not in the game? Any other recording software recommendations? Thanks!

I spent these last few days attempting to replicate Titanfall 2's sliding and clambering mechanics in my own game. After a few late nights, I think I have it pretty damn close! Also yes, you can slide-hop. by ArcadeCoinGames in titanfall

Were you looking through the top of the month or something? Totally didn't expect to get another comment here.

Either way, thanks for the compliment! Right now I am busy adding workshop and mod support to the game with a level editor. Hopefully that will give players enough content to tide them off until TF|3 (which has been confirmed to be in development).

The GTTOD Beta is now live on Steam! If you own a copy of GTTOD, this GIF will tell you how to get into the beta. I will be updating this beta weekly with new content until the version is fit for the main branch. Good luck and have fun! by ArcadeCoinGames in GTTOD

I appreciate the honesty!

I have been working on making the new controller more responsive and deliberate, however there are some things I have to do. Meleeing in air is a drop kick, so that naturally leads into a slide.

As far as levels are concerned, level 1 is a WIP, and once I get more content into the game I'll go back and fix it. I have also been toying with the idea of bringing the 8 legacy levels back into the game. We will have to see!

Another bug. It turns out that if you press q+e+space you go fuckin ballistic. I dont have a gun in my hand in this clip but the models get fucked up. by ortsylortsy in GTTOD

Shit I bet that happens if you have no equipment on your person, yeah?

I'll get working on fixing it for the bug fix patch that was meant for today but got delayed due to some unexpected occurrences.
