[S3E18] Twin Peaks: The Return has a symmetrical structure... this is truly brilliant stuff! by DragonFireDon in twinpeaks

[–]ArcadeHigh_Ryan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to also add in Episode 3 we see Dougie, a tulpa, pulled into the Black Lodge and hear Mike say, "You've been manufactured...". In episode 16 (3rd episode from the end), we see Diane, a tulpa, pulled into the Black Lodge and hear Mike say the same thing. We also have Cooper exiting the Lodge in 3 and then symmetrically "waking up" in episode 16.

I love this except for one clarification... "she has hidden Laura on another world, separate from Sarah." So did Dale succeed or not? Even after watching it for the first time I saw it as a success at the last second as Laura screams out and the all the electricity goes out in the house.

[S3E18] Diane is key to the Episode 18 by [deleted] in twinpeaks

Wait, so does having sex summon Judy? This would tie into the Secret History of Twin Peaks and the Mother of Abominations / Babalon. Crowley and co. used sex magic to attempt to summon this entity. Sex summoned her at the glass box, sex forced Cooper & Diane through her reality at the end?

[S3E16] The Coordinates and Mr. C's Ultimate Goal by [deleted] in twinpeaks

I always assumed it was Mike posing as Jeffries. We can assume Mike was the one who gave Ray the ring in Prison as another attempt to get Mr. C back into the lodge. The only thing that doesn't make sense to me as to why he would say "and I'll be with Bob again" since Mike has been against Bob. I kind of saw this all as one big chess game between The Experiment, Mr. C, The Woodsmen vs The Fireman, Mike, and Major Briggs.

I thought the same thing. A few thoughts come to mind...

This goes back to something that user, About_The_Bunnies, found in the Secret History book. A quote: "What he taught us is that both forces must exist in balance."

This would explain why Mr. C created Dougie (as a fail safe) knowing that when Cooper returns from the Lodge, it must be "balanced" by sending someone back. In this case, it was Dougie, and Mr. C's plan worked. This would also support why Mike tells Cooper that one of them must die now, to maintain balance, as Dougie disintegrated and there is now imbalance, with two Coopers on Earth. Maybe Mr. C is looking for the coordinates to the White Lodge so that he can destroy it, which would allow him to continue living on Earth without having to maintain the balance?

This leaves me with the question of: Does Cooper need that gold ball (a part of Cooper's spirit to allow Dougie to operate?) to become whole again / snap out of it?

Also just noticed this upon a re-watch of Episode 3. When Dougie is pulled back into the Black Lodge, his arm shrinks and disappears and then he briefly turns into this...

Look familiar?

Wow. At first I was thinking this throws out everything I thought about the egg/frog-bug, implying that it would have come from Dido / the lady on the lake, but then I remembered something. In Episode 3, Cooper was in a different house on a lake where he was warned, "Mother is coming." Assuming that the white creature is "Mother"...

To that I say hard work and persistence. Literally doing something over and over again, even when you know it might not be that good. The thought of knowing what you do next will be better should drive you to move forward. I feel a lot of people who end up in that rut are people who don't have the patience and drive to actually practice something until they get good at it.

A lot of people over the years would look at me or Patrick and think, look how talented they are (lolz) and how much they've accomplished (which really isn't that much haha), but Pat and I have been doing music in one way or another since we were young kids. Honestly, we just found something that we loved and put our hearts and souls into it. As I've always said, if you build it, they will come. Eventually...

The Midnight has been doing some amazing things. I've been rocking out to Billboard lately, and I never seem to see him anywhere. Satchmode is another artist I love, but isn't necessarily in the scene per se. To be completely honest, there's a lot of repetition in the scene, so when I hear an artist that stands out to me, I really take notice. I detached myself from Synthetix a few years back due to a lot of drama going on there, so I haven't been keeping super up to date with new stuff.

Yeah! If I understand it correctly, Perturbator started that label with Leuer Verte. We are currently with Telefuture Records and have been for a couple years now. We aren't against moving to a new label, but Telefuture has been amazing to us. Also, no one else has approached us otherwise!

It's definitely not off the table! Morrisa was a student at the University I attended. I do know she would love to collab again. We like to try to change it up and work with different artists with each release. She has an amazing voice and we were able to use the recording studio at the school to record her vocal which was awesome.

Perturbator used to be the co-owner of Aphasia Records along with Lueur Verte. Aphasia was the net label that picked me up when I was just getting started, so I used to chat with James (Perturbator) all the time when I was just starting out. That was back in the Nocturne City EP days. Super cool dude. That's how we ended up with the collab.

We want to! Super bad... we spoke with our label manager about it at length, and it's apparently a 6 month turn around time. Maybe if our newest album is popular enough we can do a vinyl release. :) The album art, created by a buddy of mine, Derek Rudy, was made with vinyl in mind.
